In the winter, enjoy a day of skiing at the Midwest’s premiere ski resort. During the summer months, the Alpine Slide and site-seeing Gondola are two popular activities to do at Lutsen Mountains. The Superior National at Lutsen Golf Course is a recently renovated 27-hole golf course located right across the street. The Gitchi Gami State Trail is easily accessible across Highway 61 from the Lutsen Log Cabins. Just ten miles in either direction you will find a fabulous State Park: going west you will find Temperance River State Park and going east you will find Cascade River State Park. The picturesque town of Grand Marais is just a twenty-minute scenic drive away. Grand Marais is home to the North House Folk School and Grand Marais Art Colony. Pet Policy: Pets are allowed at some homes with an additional pet fee.
