POOL UPDATE

January 19, 2021

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the community pool at Shipwatch closed for the first half of the summer 2020 season. It was finally opened near the end the summer of 2020.

We have not yet received any final word regarding the opening of the pool in 2021. The Homeowners Association controls the pool and follows the NC Governors guidelines. We would expect a decrease in infection rates for COVID-19 by the summer, and this would allow the Governor to make the same decision he made in 2020. We are not 100% certain at this time.

We will keep you informed as soon as we receive new information.



This beautiful unit has recently undergone a renovation in preparation for the 2019 rental season. It is decorated in light, bright colors with matching accents. Recently, new interior photos were posted.

This is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath direct oceanfront unit located on the 3rd floor of the Shipwatch Villas Complex. No stairs. Convenient ramps to the building, pool, and beach. Elevator to the condo. The large balcony offers a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. The living room and the two oceanfront rooms provide access to the balcony. The living room has enough seating for the whole family to enjoy a movie on a large flat screen Smart TV with DVD player.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the necessary appliances for basic meal preparations. The major appliances, which are all black stainless steel, include a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven, and built-in microwavable. Small countertop appliances include a toaster, coffee pot and blender.

The dining area has enough seating for 10 people. There are 8 seats at the table and 2 at a kitchen bar. The kitchen has been redesigned to provide more space and floor area. All new granite countertops have also been installed.

The master bedroom is equipped with a Queen bed, Smart TV and ceiling fan. It has a direct access to the oceanfront terrace. It has a private bathroom (completely renovated) with a large walk-in glass enclosed shower and a granite counter top double vanity sink.

The second bedroom features a queen-sized bed, a TV, a ceiling fan, en suite bathroom with combining shower and tub, and access to the oceanfront terrace.

The third bedroom has a pyramid bunk (1 twin & 1 full) and a standard twin bunk (2 twins), Smart TV, DVD player and a full bathroom with a tub & shower combination in the hallway. This three bedroom unit can comfortably sleep nine guests thanks to the bedding arrangement.

You will find a full-size washing machine and dryer just down the hall from the third bedroom.

The large oceanfront balconies are equipped with plenty of comfortable seats for the whole family. Porpoises can be seen trolling down the shoreline looking for their morning meal. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a meal outside with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop.

Shipwatch Villas offers a variety of activities for a fun-filled beach vacation. This unit has many great amenities including parking, an outdoor grilling area with washer and dryer, TVs and DVDs, WiFi, a large walk-in shower, covered oceanfront balconies, a large pool, and easy access to the beach.

Please note that there are only two parking permits available per unit. Please plan your journey accordingly.
