Spectacular beach with Tippy's a short walk away :) Easy access to Governor's Harbour and all its amenities (grocery stores, restaurants, ...) We stayed at Aqua Villa the year it was first built by the owner. Loved the location and the home! We returned this year after my daughter's wedding and Steve's home did not disappoint. The home is really well maintained and this is not always the case in homes you rent on the island. Great attention to detail and some updates made to the outdoor furnishings that were even better (if they could be) than before. The home has a wonderful pool right as you drive up, huge deck on the back of the house with gorgeous views of the Atlantic. Steps down to the beach (quick walk to Tippy's - an island favorite), two ocean kayaks, plenty of life vests, shower to rinse off midway up the steps from the beach. House is well equipped - air conditioning works GREAT, an air cleaner/sanitizing system has been added right off the kitchen, lots of towels for the pool. Two bedrooms, two full baths with the optional cottage with a full bath adjacent to the house. We used the cottage due to the size of our group this time. The owner was on the island and stopped by to see us the first day. Happy to say - we will be back to visit Aqua Villa! This was our fifth visit to Aqua Villa, so we are very biased. As always, it is apparent the owner AND, as importantly, Howard the property manager, take their obligations to their renters very seriously. As per usual, all of the stated amenities are in place at Aqua Villa. However, due to weather, sometimes severe, or minor, or, "just because", a working generator is essential. Also, when the weather is wonderful, a palapa, with loungers, on the beach for sun protection is key. Aqua Villa has both. Do not overlook these Bahamian necessities!

This home is absolutely amazing. It is fully equipped with everything you could ever need and is absolutely spotless. My family loved the private beach for snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, and walking/ running. Hewitt, the property manager was so sweet and helpful. Definitely rent a car from him..... there’s so much to see on the island. The owner, Steve, was also great. He even let us borrow his snorkeling gear. Pam was super helpful in answering all of our questions ahead of time.
If you are planning on sight seeing, pack some water shoes, so you can hike/swim and take in all the beauty of the island.

We stayed there for 2 weeks and enjoyed every day there. Aqua Villa is a very nice house and is sitting on of the best beaches on the island. It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves as we hardly saw any people. The house is equipped with a water cooler for drinking and Steve, the owner, was bringing the replacements when we were out. He was very helpful. The house has also a separate unit to filter the air so any time when it detected any odor in the house it was kicking in to clean the air. There are beach towels in the house as well so you don’t need to bring them. I loved the deck on the house and enjoyed it during the day but stayed in the house in the morning and night time because of annoying no-see-ums. You can shop for groceries in Governors Harbour as they are the closest. We found a better super market in Rock Sound that is like 30 min drive south of Aqua Villa. It’s next to a gas station. Governors Harbor has also a bakery where we you can buy fresh bread, pastries. Their guava jam is delicious. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

Aqua villa was perfect in every way. We had a wonderful experience during the booking process and experienced great customer service. When we arrived, the property manager was very helpful and picked us up from the airport. When we got there, they explained everything about Aqua Villa to us. The views were some of the best on the island. The entire property inside and out was just as described, but more beautiful in person. We really enjoyed our stay and it was hard to leave. The beach access was very private and easy to access. The pool was wonderful. The craftsmanship of the Villa was unbelievable! It also had all the necessities we needed to cook for the week. It helped there was a dishwasher and washer and drier. It also helped we we’re smack dab in the middle of the island off Banks Road. It was so easy to get to things by foot or even in our rental car. We CANNOT say this enough, we are more than happy with our stay. It made our honeymoon and experience we will never forget.

My husband and I visited Eleuthera in Oct 2017. We immediately decided then to return to the island the next October with our kids ages 15 and 7. This house had everything we were looking for and more. Aqua Villa is located right on Banks Road just South of Governor's Harbor. We arrived to this paradise and were greeted by Hewitt the property manager. Hewitt was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge when we had questions about the island. The house is situated on a bluff with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. The decks were furnished with lounge chairs and tables for eating al fresco. The wash station on the stairs to the beach were very handy. We brought fishing poles and caught fish right off the beach. The house was like out of a magazine. The wall of doors and windows on the ocean side allowed for unobstructed constant views. The furniture was nice and updated. The beds were comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the master bath having 2 sink areas and a spacious tiled shower. The second bedroom was shared by my kids but they had their own beds. Each bedroom has a sliding door that opens on to the patio by the pool. The pool was amazing. It was very clean and we enjoyed a dip everyday. The kitchen is modern and includes everything you will need. The washer and dryer were used daily to keep up with our towel use. There were a few things at the house when we arrived, various sunscreens, bug spray which is a must, first aid kit, detergent, dish soap, spices in the kitchen and an abundance of towels, washcloths and extra sheets. Anything you need to stock the fridge is available at the grocery in Governor's Harbor nearby. We did not have a need for the cottage out back but it was very nice and perfect for a couple wanting privacy from the main house. Overall this was a dream house on a dream vacation. We will stay here again and again.

I have zero complaints!! This house provides for a perfect vacation!! Staying in Central Eleuthera...Banks Road in Governors Harbor is the perfect location. We were close enough to all amenities...but had a private beach and felt like we had the island to ourselves. The house had everything we needed and more. Hewitt the house manager is easily accessible and when we needed something (50 gallon filtered water bottle changed) it was done immediately. The actual house owner came to check on us...which was very nice. Eleuthera is the best place to vacation...this house made paradise even more perfect!!

You cannot beat this home for views. The deck is set up high overlooking the beach. Beautiful water views from the living room and kitchen. Enjoy the sounds of the surf throughout the house. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The pool behind the house

My wife and I have been to Eleuthera several times but never stayed at Aqua Villa. The house is well appointed with all the necessary items for a 2 week stay. The pool provided a refreshing cleanse after a day on the beach. However, the piece de resistance is located on the beach, something rarely available to renters, which provides ample shade, loungers and sweet relief, a POLAPPA! Alas,I hesitate to let the word out on Aqua Villa as it might diminish our ability to secure our preferred dates! A great house and we shall return.

We stayed at Aqua Villa the beginning of May 2018 to celebrate our anniversary. We had been to the Bahamas several time but Eleuthera and Aqua Villa surpasses all our expectations. First, the island is beautiful. We were amazed by the beauty and beaches!! And everyone we met was helpful and considerate. Aqua Villa did not disappoint either. The house is very nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed for the week. We enjoy cooking together and found the kitchen to be well stocked for our needs. It was very relaxing to enjoy our morning coffee and meals on the Oceanside patio. The entire process was smooth. Pam was helpful with all our questions before we arrived and Hewitt (the prop mgr) was equally helpful.

Aqua Villa was perfect! The location could not be any better and the beach is gorgeous! My family of 3 visited for 7 days and just fell in love with this place! We enjoyed most of our days on the beach and in the pool! The house has everything you need (except a muffin pan lol) and met all of our needs!! The caretaker, Hewitt, was so nice and answered all of our questions throughout our stay! He even dropped a couple of fresh coconuts by for us!! We walked to Tippy's several times for lunch and dinner. We were so pleased we had access to such a great restaurant so close to the villa! We were able to explore the island and found two other great restaurants we enjoyed, Bucanneer Club and 1648! There are a couple of grocery stores we visted too where you can find just about anything you need! This truly was a one-of-a-kind vacation that we will never forget!!

From the beginning, the island took my breath away and the rental certainly added to the experience. Our sweet caretaker picked us up from the airport after our rental car did not show up. He got us a car for the night and delivered us to Aqua Villa. The home was immaculate. Everything you could possibly need was supplied, from laundry detergent to a printer/fax machine! Absolutely amazing in every way possible. Only twice during the week did we see other people on "our" beach. The rental cannot be beaten for amenities or location. When we return it will be to Aqua Villa!
