It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it. The town of Palmetto Point, less than 10 minutes from the house, has several smaller stores and a good restaurant. There is a good grocery store, Midway Cost Cutters, just five minutes from the house.

Marvelous time at Wish House! Wish House was perfect for us. The rooms are large and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house was clean and prepared for arrival. Mack and Kayla the local property manager and caretaker were quite helpful and attentive. We were grateful for the Starlink WiFi, as we both had to work, and the backup generator was excellent! The grounds are beautiful and we spent almost every evening under the beach cabana. Easy walk on the path to the beach and a great sandy entrance into the water. We highly recommend this house and we will definitely be back! We love Double Bay Beach!
