Welcome to Eagle Ray Cottage, a new (April of 2025) beach house on the prestigious Banks Road of Eleuthera.  Eagle Ray Cottage is a short walk from world-famous Poponi Beach and La Bougainvillea boutique resort with its excellent beachfront restaurant and bar. 

Enter Eagle Ray into the great room, a sunny and inviting space with lots of glass.  There are two living areas in the room, a TV area furnished with a settee and chair facing a wall mounted TV, and a larger sitting area with a garden view and access to the front and rear decks.  Both decks are furnished for lounging.  The rear deck is also furnished for dining and has access to the back yard. 

The modern island kitchen, at the center of the great room, if finished in quartz and stainless steel.  Appliances include a full-size French-door refrigerator, glass top range, microwave, and coffee maker.  The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining in. 

Just off the great room is a full bath with a walk-in shower and a washer/dryer. 

Upstairs on the second floor are two sunny bedrooms.  The master has a king bed, a flat screen TV, and a beautiful ocean view.  

The guest bedroom has a queen bed and a garden view.

From the back yard of Eagle Ray Cottage, it’s a 3 to 4 minute walk down a sandy path to world-famous Poponi Beach, a mile-long stretch of pink sand and turquoise water.  La Bougainvillea Resort, with its excellent restaurant is located on this beach, just 150 yards to the north. 

The town of Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is just 8 minutes by car from the property. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it.
