The Stormy Weather Arts Festival, sponsored by the Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce and held every year on the first weekend in November, is the city's celebration of being a premier destination for art lovers.
Throughout the weekend, several of the galleries will have receptions along with artists' demonstrations.On Friday night, this event which kicks off the weekend of activities at the Surfsand Resort and is a festival highlight. Artists demonstrate their techniques, working for a full hour on a single painting, which will be finished and offered for sale during the weekend. Each artist will also offer work that will be auctioned off Friday evening.
