Sailing is a two-bedroom, reverse floor plan cottage centrally located to all of the island's amenities. Both bedrooms have access to ocean front porches. The living room, kitchen and dining areas are upstairs, providing exceptional views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Sailing is located on the ocean shores of Flora's Bluff, which has won national architecture awards for design and environmental planning. Flora's Bluff's architectural style was inspired by the legendary Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port and in the spirit of classical New England coastal villages, and has been featured in Southern Living, Coastal Living and Golf Digest.

Sailing has tv’s in both bedrooms and in the living room. The cottage also has wifi and a stereo system. Sailing comes equipped with a 4 passenger golf cart

A wonderful vacation! The house was absolutely lovely with everything to make an enjoyable time. BHI was informative and throughout the week checked on us to ascertain how our stay was going. Getting from the ferry to the house was so easy being my first time on the island. Definitely going back next year.

Location is absolutely perfect! Literally steps from the beach and you have an incredible view of the ocean. When you walk in from the front door there are two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room (with nice new machines). Each room leads to a porch that faces the ocean. Upstairs is the main living room and kitchen with a balcony facing the ocean. We brought our dog with us and she was a little timid with the stairs, so if you have a dog that is unsure of flooring and step stairs, just FYI. The place was just what we needed. Couple things I would note, bring a beach umbrella as the house does not have one but they do have beach chairs. I have this weird fear of fires and I noticed the house does not have any smoke detectors, I would recommend they put a couple in on each level as there is only one way out of the top level. Other than that, we love Bald Head Island and will be back!

Wife and I rented Sailing during our son's wedding weekend on BHI. Sailing was the perfect size for us (2bedroom) and location on the beach was awesome. Conveniently, it was within walking distance from the house our son and his fiancee rented for their wedding party. Couldn't have been happier with Sailing. Perfect size for two people. Very clean. Appliances were modern. Bedrooms comfortable. Loved the balcony also...simply fantastic view overlooking the beach. Only suggestion for improvement...maybe having a couple extra rolls of TP and a couple of boxes of tissues upon arrival. We would definitely rent Sailing again!

We loved our trip to BHI and Sailing was the perfect spot of our family of 4 and dog. The house had everything we needed and the view was unbeatable! We will be back for sure!

Bald Head Island is so unique and Sailing is the perfect house to enjoy it. The grocery store is five minutes gorgeous golf cart drive from the house. The beach is a quick easy walk to a peaceful Cape shielded ocean with no rip tide and only calm small waves. We caught a bunch of fish one day with little effort! Love it here and would definitely return!

We loved our recent stay at Sailing! Great location with clear view of ocean and easy access to the beach. The walkway was under construction while were there, so there was a bit of inconvenience. Walkway is now brand new. Just step out the door and you're at the beach within minutes. We hope to stay at Sailing again!

Sailing was a great house to spend our recent vacation week. We enjoyed the views from the upstairs deck as well as the screened in porch below. The home was very clean and cutely decorated, and the beach access was easy to get to. We would recommend this house to others.

Enjoyed our stay at Sailing - just the right size and location for my wife and me. This was our first visit to BHI and everything was great - the house and the weather were perfect, getting the ferry and tram connection went incredibly smoothly, and the laid back atmosphere and great beach were just what we needed. We're looking forward to next time.

We very much enjoyed our time on Bald Head Island and our stay at 7 scotch Bonnet. We realize the storm last year wrecked havoc on the beach and houses. However, we found the accommodations satisfactory and are planning a return trip to the island and would consider 7 Scotch Bonnet. I know several improvements are in the works and I would make one suggestion and that is to replace the bathroom cabinets with taller ones 36”

We had a wonderful stay at Sailing. Brandy Parker is great and very responsive. The house had everything we needed in a great location with an awesome oceanfront view. We would def stay again! Beds were comfortable and we were Steps from the beach and short ride to the market. Can't wait to return.
