Lovely home with fantastic views

Sunrise in Your Slippers isn't the fanciest place we've stayed on Bald Head Island, but we were very happy here and hope to stay here again. If you need immaculate carpet, it's not the place for you; however the positives far outweigh the stains on the carpet. We enjoyed the comfortable king sized bed and, best of all, the views from almost every room. From the screened porch we saw a bald eagle, egrets, herons, an osprey, and ibises. I actually did get up several mornings to watch the sunrise. Thank you to the owners for sharing their lovely home with us and our doggie. We all had a fantastic time. If you are arriving on a Tuesday offseason as we did (the day after Labor Day), be aware that most of the island restaurants are closed on Tuesdays and the grocery store closes at 6. Good thing we brought trail mix! If you choose to join the Shoals Club during your offseason stay, you will have it almost to yourself. We love the views from there also. Thank you Bald Head Island Services for another great stay.

The year of Covid has kept some of us isolated in a negative way but the isolation, space & beauty of this shoulder season at BHI is utter joy. I wish more could enjoy!. Sunrise In Your Slippers is a match: relaxed, feet up kind of spot where you can really put everything on hold. It's like an old sweatshirt: certainly not perfect which is what we need to escape real world concerns ... it is perfect for you & your best canine friend with beautiful nature surrounding you... a totally comfortable & ideal place to make home for a few days.
Best View on the Island

We've stayed here twice and both times were perfect. We love the marsh view - so beautiful and peaceful. The condo has everything you need. Brandy is extremely helpful with all questions & if any needs should arise during your stay. If you can get up early, the sunrise is magnificent over the marsh. We highly recommend this condo!!! Can't wait to come back!!!
