Legend has it that Florida's Indian Rocks Beach was named after a native medicine man who miraculously healed his chief using the waters of a natural sulfur spring located in Kolb Park, just across from Indian Rocks Beach City Hall. Early settlers would have said, "The Indians are on the way to the rocks" when they saw the Indians. Indian Rocks Beach is just a short drive from Tampa and St. Petersburg. It offers almost three miles of beautiful beaches that stretch along the sparkling Gulf of Mexico. Indian Rocks Beach is a popular destination for tourists from all over the globe. They are known for their beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets. There are 27 beach access points along Gulf Boulevard. Many popular restaurants, such as Guppyas on the Beach and Keeganas Seafood and Guppyas on the Beach are also within walking distance.  Clearwater Beach is just south of Indian Rocks Beach FL.
