Although Mardi Gras is celebrated around the world, no one does it like New Orleans. It is New Orleans' premiere party season, and time to enjoy life, party, and have a good time! Mardi Gras is music, parades, picnics, floats, excitement ... and one big holiday in New Orleans! Most of the big parades start two Fridays before Mardi Gras Day- from this point on, parades will happen everyday until Fat Tuesday. Its best to come to New Orleans early and enjoy the extended weekend throughout the Margi Gras Festivities. That weekend however, enjoy the Bacchus, Zulu, rex and all other celebrations across the amazing city of New Orleans! During Mardi Gras, all of the businesses and roads are shut down and people dressed in the primary colors walk all around and make new friends.
