The Ridge at Silver Lake, one of the Upper Deer Valley's most sought after and very private communities, was built as one of the premier communities in the area. A leisurely five minute walk will bring you to ten quality restaurants (including Mariposa which Zagat rated the best in the state and another rated as having one of the best wine cellars in the world!), the shops of Silver Lake Village, the Silver Lake Lodge, and the five-diamond Stein Eriksen Lodge. Drive five miles down the mountain and you will be in Park City's lovely downtown. Here you will find restaurants of every cuisine, a wide selection of art galleries, a sledding park and many unique shops.
The locals say that they came for the skiing and then stayed for the summers. Deer Valley skiing is often rated the best in the United States and the biggest secret seems to be the incredible summers. Take your mountain bike (rentals available at the Silver Lake Village) on the Silver Lake chair lifts up the mountain and ride for miles across picturesque terrain. You also have your choice of other activities including golf, tennis, jet-skiing, hiking, hot-air ballooning, and so much more.
