Winter in the Sierra is a skier's paradise with over 14 different ski resorts to choose from. The Ridge Tahoe is right in the middle of it all. The Ridge Tahoe has its own eight-passenger private gondola to the chair lift to nearby Heavenly Ski Resort. The excitment of the South Shore's casino nightlife and entertainment, the Tahoe beaches and the Edgewood Golf Course are just five miles away from the property. The Tahoe basin also offers opportunities for sledding, tubing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and sleigh rides. In the warmer months, guests can golf, water ski, fish, sail, hike, bike and parasail.
Guests ascend winding roads up a mountain to reach this hotel and condominium spa resort, which is perched on top of a mountain ridge. The Hungry Bear, the high-class on-site restaurant, offers high-end cuisine featuring steak, lamb, seafood, and vegetarian dishes, and also offers a Sunday champagne brunch. The Ridge Club Deli on-site is also open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests with kitchens can visit the on-site Marketplace for groceries, which they will find among other sundries, clothing, and video rentals. In addition to three outdoor tennis courts, the resort has an indoor tennis/basketball court that guests can use in the winter. In summer, a putting green, golf driving cage, and a sand volleyball court open, astonishing guests with a spectacular view of the valley 2,000 feet below.
