Enjoy this totally renovated and redecorated two story, two bedroom townhouse with central air throughout. Perfect for small families who want luxury, comfort, and security. Located directly on Yal-Ku lagoon in North Akumal, it is close by the beaches at Half Moon Bay and Akumal Bay within the private "Romero Complex".
French Angel is ideal for individual couples, small families, or friends traveling together. This luxurious townhouse offers privacy but convenient access to the lagoon, the ocean, nearby restaurants, and the many activities in and around Akumal.
Sleep in comfort in your bedroom suite with large windows overlooking the lagoon. Located on the second floor, each bedroom has its own separate air conditioning and bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. The master bedroom has one king bed and the other bedroom has two double beds and can hold up to four children or two adults. (Maximum occupancy is 6).
The ground floor contains the living room dining room, kitchen, bath, and laundry area. The spacious living room includes comfortable furniture and patio doors looking over the lagoon. The flat screen TV is attached to a satellite with US content. Open WiFi Internet connection is available at no cost. The open transition from the living room to the dining area adds to the feeling of spaciousness. The dining area includes a table for six and again features patio doors looking over the lagoon.
With the fully equipped kitchen, you can choose to fix your own meals, go out to any of the area restaurants, or hire your caretaker, to fix you some special dinners you are sure to remember.
Walk out a few steps from the patio directly to your private access to the lagoon. Put on your snorkeling gear, turn left towards the head of the lagoon and commune with parrot fish, angel fish, sergeant fish, and many other exotic tropical fish. Turn right and swim towards the sea and you may spot a turtle or ray after the lagoon transitions to a sandy inlet. With essentially no waves, the lagoon is ideal for children and adults, and offers magnificent snorkeling for both the novice and the more experienced snorkeler.
Treat yourself to something special: go to the roof deck where you get a spectacular view of the lagoon, the ocean, and the surrounding area. You can relax on the lounge chairs and "catch the rays", or you can sit in the covered seating area if you want to enjoy the view but stay out of the sun.. but best of all, you can relax in the heated rooftop pool overlooking the lagoon: it is perfect for cooling down in the day or for small children.
At night, turn off the lights, turn on the pool heater, relax, and admire the stars.

The four of us really enjoyed our time here.
Being right on the lagoon was magical, particularly in the early mornings and after 5, when the light is long and the fish active and not hiding from the many mid-day snorklers.
The adjacent homes were not occupied while we were there.
We ended up using the very nice roof-top pool only rarely, as the lagoon was so very inviting and easy to visit.
The lagoon is a fantastic amenity, combining the tranquility of a freshwater lake and the brilliant fish diversity of a coral reef!
The layout of French Angel A is excellent, with a very good flow, light and views. The staff were almost invisible but yet kept things tidy and functioning.
We developed a routine of alternating days visiting the various ruins and being on the southern beaches around Tulum, often ending up at Akumal beach for an hour around 5 when it was quiet before heading back to the apartment.
Town of Tulum is a great center for lunches, fresh fish at the pescaderia, and points west (to Coba for example) or east to the biosphere reserve, the ruins and beaches.
We began discussing our return visit before we left, and find that the immediate setting and location are really superb for a family or group of friends.
The owners are very friendly and helpful in pointing us to various resources.
