Property Description
Newly updated to become your favorite place to stay on the Island, Lakeview Cottage boasts a private heated pool and spa, along with newly redesigned outdoor areas so you can dine al fresco, recline in the chaise with a good book, float in the pool with the kids, or relax in the heated spa at the end of the day. There's even a new hot-and-cold outdoor shower, enclosed for privacy.
You'll notice the Asian inspiration as soon as you turn into the driveway -- rather than a garage door, you'll find a screen reminiscent of Japanese homes. Although it can be used as a carport, the owners most often enjoy it as a large screened room, where cooling breezes make it a wonderful spot to relax. A laundry room and half-bath are tucked away to the side, accessible from the new outdoor shower.
Inside you'll find an open living space, and vaulted ceilings where sunroom with TV, dining area, and kitchen, merge for optimal comfort and convenience. The updated Kitchen and island seating offers a great place for gathering. A wine fridge also can be used for water bottles and other drinks, allowing more room in the main Fridge.
Down the hall, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, with a flat-panel TV and Bose radio in the first bedroom.
Of course, the best part of this terrific cottage is its location. With Pine Avenue and the village of Anna Maria just one block to the south, you can walk to everything, from the gorgeous Gulf beaches to the historic Anna Maria City Pier and everything in between. Pine Avenue offers restaurants, shopping, the community theater, historic Roser Church, and the Anna Maria Historical Society Museum. If you want to explore the Island, catch the free Island Trolley at the end of the street.
Sleeps four in two King beds.
*PET OWNERS: This property is dog friendly for one dog with a maximum weight of 25 pounds and a non-refundable pet fee of $150 for the first week. There is a $50 fee per week for each additional week booked. Also, certain breeds are excluded. It is necessary that you check with our office prior to your trip for details on weight and breed limitations.
A NOTE ABOUT POOL HEAT: If you book online, your reservation will automatically populate with a pool heat charge for one week. If your reservation is for a longer period, someone on our staff will adjust the pool heat rate to reflect the longer stay. We recommend pool heat at this property, regardless of the time of year, as pools near shady trees stay cooler, even in the summer.
Stays of less than one week may be available during the off-season and at the last minute; check with our office for details!
Our Cancellation Policy: In order to protect our owners from loss of income, ALL MONIES PAID TOWARDS YOUR RESERVATION ARE NON-REFUNDABLE! We may, however, be able to give you a partial refund under certain conditions. Ask our office for details, or check your rental agreement.

The photos just don't do this adorable house justice. The location is wonderful. The mid century modern design is spot on. The amenities are plentiful...seriously have never stayed in a house so well equipped! The pool/hot tub are wonderful, though I do believe the pool could go without heat in the summer months. They have removed the low bar table furniture piece in the kitchen and added an island, which could've been better executed, works super well in that space so that was a great change. The photos really need to be updated! We had an amazing stay and will definitely book this property again. * The photos are very current but the home is in a remodel process. Had a lovely stay with our two little kids. Really enjoyed the pool, and appreciated the secure fence around it to keep our 1.5 and 4 year old out when we couldn't supervise. Very spacious inside, love the natural light. Close to shops on Pine street and the beach. They did update the kitchen with an island that has nice counter space but doesn't fit the mid century design at all and isn't reflected in the photos. 2/16/19
Relaxing getaway. Cute little cottage with a beautiful pool and spa area. Located in a quiet neighborhood, yet only steps from shops and restaurants. While the decor and furniture may be a little dated the house was spotless, this was one of the cleanest and most well maintained rental homes we have stayed in. Highly recommended, 5 stars. We definitely enjoyed our stay, house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable
After spending a week in this classical, beautiful, well-kept home with two dogs, we can't wait to come back! The family has truly retained the integrity of the multi-generational home with a touch of old-Florida style with complementing new upgrades. It was a quiet, peaceful part of the island to escape to and soak up the sun, beach and do a little fishing. So much to do/see we're already making plans for the next trip. Amanda S 6/17
