Snowflake River Ridge (formerly Catch and Release) is a classic cozy cabin located just a few yards away from the magnificent prestigious Elk River and very conveniently located only approximately 5 minutes (3 miles) from scenic downtown Banner Elk with plentiful restaurants and boutiques.
This beautiful 2-bedroom 2-bathroom cabin (sleeps 6) is perfect for a family getaway to the High Country! The cabin is also located near 3 major ski resorts.

The main level is living area features hardwood floors, a gas-log fireplace, flat screen TV and a large cozy couch. Just behind the living room is the fully equipped kitchen with an island with 3 bar stools, stainless appliances, Keurig (and Drip) coffee pot, and all the utensils you need to prepare a delicious meal! There is a separate dining table that sits 4 people. Also on the main lower level is a full bathroom featuring granite counters and a tile shower, and a full-sized laundry room. Directly off the side of the kitchen, step outside onto the covered patio and enjoy your meal at the table with enough room for 6 people! There is an amazing 6-person hot tub as well as a charcoal grill (BYO charcoal).

Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms and 1 shared full bath. The spacious Master bedroom has a king bed, 2 separate twin beds in an alcove finished with barn-wood accents, and additional seating space in front of the large screen TV. The second bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs for your enjoyment. Across the hall is the shared bathroom with a tiled shower.

When staying at this home, guests will enjoy access to most amenities inside of Eagles Nest as well as the River Club amenities.

Please note all visitors on premise at the Winery must be 16 years or older with the exception of Sundays. This is strictly enforced.

Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman’s Lodge, the Fitness Center, the Wine & Cigar Bar, or inside The River Club Lodge. These areas require a membership and are not available for guests.

Guests returning to Snowflake River Ridge may receive an additional 5% to the rent, not to be combined with other discounts to the rent.

Additional Important Notes:
- This home does not provide a grill
- Please note there is a camera on the front door to monitor the front entrance. No other cameras point at the home or at any of the common areas.
- Community firepit next to the river (firewood ordered would be delivered to the home, not the fire pit site)
-Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- 2000 feet of private, pristine headwaters of the Elk River for catch and release of trophy trout. Fishing in the Elk River is catch and release only using artificial bait with barbless hooks. All anglers must have a valid NC fishing license on their person anytime they are fishing.
- Stocked fishing ponds for catch and release fishing.
- Please note that there is no land-line phone in this cabin.
- Please be advised that private ATVs are not permitted in the community and will be denied entry at the gates.
- There is an additional $35 per night amenity fee (max $175) in order to maintain the luxurious facilities and features in the development.
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.)
- The summer concerts are open to all guests however there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.
-Roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access the property in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!
- Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.

- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
-This home allows up to 1 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
