Don’t miss this stunning, one-of-a-kind custom designed & built property perfectly located near Blowing Rock overlooking the Yadkin River Gorge! Off the living area to the east is a large gourmet-class kitchen with stainless steel appliances including a double drawered dishwasher and a dual fuel five-burner gas range with an electric oven with convection baking option and dozens of square feet of countertop workspace. The honed granite counters were custom designed to have ample workspace while still allowing for decorations on a small shelf. There are three bar chairs at the island, and a round table for 6 is in a windowed nook just off the kitchen. On the other side of the kitchen is a den with a couch, gas log fireplace, and a 75” HDTV, perfect for those wishing to be near the kitchen action while not missing a favorite show. Down the hall from the den and kitchen are two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed and an HDTV. The purple room features a beautiful handmade quilt from Guatemala, and the green room’s bed has a Tempurpedic mattress topper. Between the two is a full bath with a tiled tub/shower and a marble vanity. On the west side of the main level is the master suite. This bedroom has a King bed, a 75” HDTV, and deck access. The private bath has a large soaking tub, a tiled shower with a quartet of body sprayers, a rainhead, and separate hosed handle, a water closet, and his and hers granite vanities. Under one of the vanities is a doggie door to a completely fenced in dog run. Upstairs is another Queen bedroom with an HDTV, a King bedroom with TV, and a full bathroom with a tiled shower that these two rooms share. There are two leather chairs at the top of the stairs, a perfect quiet place to work a crossword or enjoy a good book. A large office space features a multi-desk workstation, sofa and TV, and a newly added foosball with multiple games built in. There is also a full sized crib, high chair, and stroller available for the littlest guests to use. All TVs have streaming capabilities to match the home's fiberoptic internet speeds. Step out onto the deck and drink in the stunning mountain views. The hills recede into the distance and on a clear day you can see up to 120 miles! Facing the south/southwest, you’ll catch amazing sunrise and sunset vistas from here. Situated at over 3700’ elevation, the breezes here are always crisp and refreshing. Enjoy a meal al fresco at the outdoor dining set, prepared on the charcoal grill. Children and pets can safely play on the deck, because it is completely enclosed and the railings are lined with tempered glass to allow for safety and maximum visibility. At night, enjoy the twinkling city lights of Lenoir and Hickory in the distance, and on a very clear night you can catch the light haze from Charlotte. You may not ever wish to leave this haven of peace. When you do venture out, you’ll be pleasantly surprised that the home is located less than 10 minutes to Blowing Rock or Boone, about a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and just minutes to all the High Country has to offer. Enter the main level via a cobblestone path and a solid mahogany wood door dating back to the 1700’s imported from Palermo, Italy. As soon as you walk into the home, you’ll see the huge arch shaped window overlooking the layered mountain vistas of the Gorge below. The flooring throughout the home is custom wide plank hardwood, and the ceilings throughout the main floor range from 10 to 20 feet high with interior 8’ doorways. Leather furnishings are arranged around this window to take full advantage of the breathtaking views, and in the evenings, warm up with a real wood fire in the stacked stone fireplace. Many of the furniture items were custom made in India using reclaimed wood pieces. An office space with a desk, wireless router, guitar, and couch is also available just off the living room and entry way.
While guests are not able to park in the garage, there is a 50amp Tesla plug with an 18' hose that guests may use to charge their vehicles.

"The View" House was the setting of an incredible and memorable Christmas holiday for our family. The home is conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock, just off the parkway, so it was easy to access grocery stores or other amenities we may have needed. There were 10 of us there, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Even our dogs had their own fenced in area, and doggy door, that made their stay enjoyable, too! It is a beautiful home and there is no doubt that it was built solidly and with great attention to detail. The kitchen was incredibly stocked, and has a super-large oven that was so very useful for the big holiday meal. Aptly named, the view was fabulous, and we enjoyed gorgeous sunrises and a newly-fallen snow as well. My first white Christmas and I can't imagine a better place and time for it! It was bitterly cold so we didn't spend much time on the outside porches, but would happily rent this one again in the summertime in order to do so. Easy to work with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, and have done so many times. The company is always accessible, and their team is friendly. Your cannot go wrong with "The View" house, so I highly encourage booking it. Look forward to our next rental with BRMR!

We enjoyed every part about our stay. The view is breath taking! It was so comfortable for all 9 of us. The location is also very convenient to go downtown or experience the outdoors. We would definitely stay there again!

I graduated from graduate school on May 10th and decided to treat myself to The View House as a gift. I was looking for a place that had spectacular views, was upscale, and a place where I could just relax and enjoy the serenity of life for a few days. I invited my mom and niece to join me. We played games on the porch, drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visited downtown Blowing Rock for some shopping. We cooked fabulous Home Chef meals in their fully-equipped kitchen that was made for a professional chef, and it was positioned such that you could enjoy the most breathtaking views while cooking. I was completely blown away by this property. The house was immaculate and completely custom from the ground up. The views literally made me gasp when I walked into the front room. The decor had you walking around the house examining each piece and wondering about where the items came from. The owners completely outdid themselves with their attention to detail, all the way down to the doggie-door that led to the awesome play area equipped with a "play" fire-hydrant. My shih-tzus both loved the entire set up. (I even lost one of them for a few minutes in the house! Ha!) And I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the master shower. There was water coming from everywhere with all the jets! I would recommend this house over and over again and I thank the owners so much for sharing this gem with us. The only piece of constructive feedback I could think of would be to upgrade the outdoor furniture to better capitalize on that incredible view. Some lounge chairs or a swing might do the trick. Other than that.....don't change a thing! I have never been arrested, but I was tempted to roll the dice on squatting for a few days to see how long I could stay without getting kicked out! :)

The Blue Ridge Mountains are a sacred place to me and so, my wife and sons took me here to celebrate my 40th birthday. Everything was stunningly perfect. The location, the decor, the design, and of course the view. The owners and the property manager delivered on what was advertised and then some. The house was immaculate and everything you need for a comfortable stay was provided. The location was quiet and peaceful but it was only a short drive to enjoy restaurants and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

We stayed in View House, which is one of the most beautiful homes I have seen. The process from booking to leaving was seamless with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. Their instructions are very clear, everything from the directions, to the check-out process. The house was impeccable when we arrived and we wanted for nothing. The owners of View House clearly took great care in their design and decor and everywhere you looked your eye found a treasure. Especially all the pottery! Which I believe was crafted by the owner! We cannot wait to stay there again, very soon!

What a wonderful place to get away from all of the hustle of real life. Our family was able to stop and enjoy the uniqueness of this special place in every way. This home offers everything you could ever need. The layout is perfect for families and the kitchen has it all. But the most spectacular part of course is the breath taking views of the Blue Ridge mountains. It was so hard to leave. Amy at Blue Ridge Rentals was beyond accommodating and we hope to escape to this memorable place again.

Our stay at View House was much better than expected! Beautiful house with outstanding views on a quiet back road in the mountains, an amazing kitchen with anything you would need to cook a 5 star meal for 10+ people, and a master bathroom that is tough to beat (complete with doggie door for easy in and out during inclement weather). We first walked into the house and were blown away by the view out the large back window. This is by far the best rental house we have ever stayed in! We could sit out on the back deck all day and never get tired of the view. Plenty of space for a family vacation or a get together with good friends. If you decide to temporarily part ways with the house there is plenty to do within a short drive whether it's Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, many excellent breweries, more hiking than you could achieve in a lifetime, or just walking around Appalachian State University. We loved the house so much that we stayed an extra day... we didn't want to leave! We would recommend it to any of our close friends or family and we will definitely be staying here next time we venture up to the mountains. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us!

Our home away from home from 10/21/15-10/30/15 was the property known as View House. This property is centrally located between Blowing Rock and Boone, mere minutes to Tweetsie Railroad. The first thing that impressed me was while the property was at the top of a mountain all the roads were paved except for the street the property was on and even that was gravel, making coming and going much less nerve racking. This home was even more impressive than the property listing. The exterior was beautiful featuring a cobblestone walk and stacked stone front porch overlooking a lovely yard that was completely enclosed, creating a safe environment for our toy poodle. In addition a dog run was available and assessable by a pet door in the master bath. The home itself was absolutely breathtaking offering wide plank floors, beautiful rugs, granite counters, two fireplaces and windows galore featuring views you may have only seen in photographs. The deck was very spacious with both covered and uncovered sections. The tempered glass around the bottom provided additional safety for our toy poodle and young grandchildren. The master bath had a soaking tub and shower that is typically not found in rental properties. All of the bedrooms were furnished with high end furniture, comfortable bedding and views that cant be beat. This home is well designed, beautifully decorated and offers what appear to be many one of a kind art and pottery items. Again, the view was simply spectacular!
