Experience a piece of Bryce Resort&#39;s history at this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom mountain house close to Lake Laura.&nbsp; Originally built and owned by Pete Brice, the brain child of Bryce Resort and surrounding mountain community, Shenandoah Sky House embodies his unique personality.&nbsp; Each of the home&#39;s three floors feature elegant south-facing windows overlooking the woods, backyard stone patio, and fire pit.&nbsp; This property is located in a quiet section of Bryce Resort with no through-traffic and very little light pollution - perfect for long walks and nighttime stargazing.&nbsp; Access to Lake Laura&#39;s hiking trail is a short walk down Beach Boulevard.&nbsp;&nbsp;Shenandoah Sky House is 2.5 miles to Bryce Resort&rsquo;s main lodge, golf pro-shop, ski/bike lifts, and Copper Kettle restaurant &amp; bar, and 1 mile to Burn Barrel tavern, Pale Fire Brewing, the Basye Community Store, and Smiley&#39;s Ice Cream &amp; mini-golf.<br />

FEATURES &amp; AMENITIES<br />
Enter the home at the front portico nearest the ample parking area (3-4 vehicles).&nbsp; The split-level foyer invites guests to explore either the main level or the finished basement.&nbsp; Taking the stairs up to the main level, guests enter a large reading nook with vaulted, exposed-beam ceiling, desk &amp; chair (if work intrudes), and a comfy reading chair.&nbsp; Turn right to access the first of three bedrooms (full/double bed) and full bathroom.&nbsp; Ascend another flight of stairs to the upper level with two more bedrooms (both queen) and a full bathroom with unique tub &amp; shower (see photos). One of the top-floor bedrooms features a private deck accessed by sliding glass door.&nbsp; The top floor bedrooms tend to get warmer than the rest of the house during the summer months, so they both feature ultra-quiet, portable air conditioners to ensure guests enjoy comfortable sleep.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

Back on the main floor and proceeding through the reading nook, guests discover the living, dining, kitchen areas.&nbsp; Sliding glass doors in both the reading nook and living area open to a large east-facing deck - ideal for morning sun worshiping and evening shade. The living area features a comfy couch, love seat, and Smart TV.&nbsp; Discover the wet bar masquerading as a closet underneath the stairs! The kitchen pops with knotty-pine cabinets and white modern appliances (fridge, range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven).&nbsp; The huge U-shaped kitchen counter &amp; bar seats four and provides ample space for both gatherings and meal preparation. The kitchen includes basic cookware, tableware, and a Keurig coffee maker (<em>please bring your favorite K-cups</em>).&nbsp; The alcove dining area, surrounded by windows, is filled with natural light and seats four (with room for six using two extra chairs in the living area &amp; reading nook).<br />

Exit the kitchen&#39;s side door into another split-level foyer vestibule and stairs down to the side door &amp; patio with Weber charcoal barbecue, grilling tools, charcoal, and charcoal starter.&nbsp; Descend further to the basement level into a living/gaming area flanked by more windows, and featuring a large Smart TV, foosball table, and a third full bathroom with jetted tub and sauna.&nbsp; Beyond the third bathroom and sauna, guests return to the lower level of the main entry foyer and another quiet sitting/lounging area. Guests are welcome to use the two bikes, outdoor chairs, fans, and other goodies stored under the barbecue foyer&#39;s stairs.&nbsp; A full size washer &amp; dryer are available in the laundry room on the main foyer vestibule&#39;s top landing.<br />

Shenandoah Sky House comfortably sleeps six with plenty of space to spread out or congregate!<br />

We supply this home with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, four dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, two kitchen dish towels, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store.<br />

The two flat screen Smart TVs (main floor and basement living areas) allow guests to log into popular streaming apps. 100+mbps WiFi internet is ample for working, streaming, and light gaming.<br />

This is a Self-Check-In unit. You&#39;ll receive check-in instructions via email seven days prior to arrival (or immediately if booking within seven days) that include the property&#39;s address, driving directions, a unique Key Code, and other important information.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

Pets are allowed at this property for $100 per pet, per stay.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

This property has a charcoal grill and wood-burning fire pit on the backyard stone patio. It does NOT have an outdoor hot tub.<br />
<br />
Guests can purchase firewood for the fire pit from the kiosk in our office parking lot (2565 Orkney Grade) or the Basye Community Store.<br />
<br />
Guests cannot access the Bryce Resort pool (Bryce Landing), which is for Bryce Resort member use only. However, guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our reception office (2565 Orkney Grade). It s open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.<br />

Quiet hours after 10:00 pm are strongly enforced by the local security and police.<br />

Bryce Resort offers many activities and features throughout the year, including snow skiing/boarding, snow tubing, golf, Lake Laura swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating, and kayaking, and a thrill-filled lift-accessed mountain bike park.
