Plage Rose is an exceptional beachfront estate property in the prime location of Double Bay. It’s grand entrance was featured in "The 700 experiences" (a blog about the 700 islands in the Bahamas) as one of the most prestigious entrances of the Bahamas. This 9 acre property is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation with numerous mature palms, trees, flowering bushes and shrubs.

Plage Rose fronts on 725 feet of incredible pink sand beach which is only steps away from both the main Villa and the guest cottage.
We have a new electric pool heater. The pool can be heated for a charge of $400 per week.
The main Villa is spacious and airy and allows the best of both indoor and outdoor living to merge as one. It offers breathtaking views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the lake and is ideally positioned to showcase sunrise and sunset views.
We’ll begin our tour with the spectacular gourmet island kitchen. Its elegant decor features Italian furniture, and it is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including two wall ovens, dishwasher, microwave, trash compactor, wine cooler, drop-in glass-top range, Nespresso coffee machine and two refrigerators. Just off the kitchen is a large and fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer. Sliding glass doors from the kitchen lead to an outdoor patio. Side windows offer a view of the vegetable garden with all kinds of fresh herbs and vegetables that are at your disposal to create unforgettable meals.
Beside the kitchen is the formal dining room furnished with antique furniture and wall lights that offer just the right ambiance for intimate dinners as well as for family gatherings. Original Bahamian paintings complete the decor. A powder room is conveniently located between the dining room and the great room.
Beside the dining room is the great room with casually elegant decor that welcomes comfortable island living and it offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic on one side and the lake on the other. Three over-sized sofas and four island style chairs as well as a big screen TV provide a perfect spot for everyone to enjoy and relax. Two sets of sliding glass doors welcome you to the two great patios on each side of the house for outdoor living.
Beyond the great room is the guest bedroom, which features a beautiful ocean view, private patio, a brand new outdoor shower, and a new powder room area. It is furnished with a queen bed. Continue down the hall to enter the spacious master bedroom with a king bed and a walk-in closet with safe. An en-suite bathroom and shower room offers enough space for two people to shower at a time. A door from the shower room opens to the outside, a convenient way out to the beach or to the guest house. Sliding glass doors from both the guest bedroom and the master bedroom lead to private patios where you can relax and enjoy beautiful ocean views.
Located about 100 feet from the Main Villa is a separate 2 bedroom guest cottage with a central kitchenette area. Each bedroom has twin beds which can be converted to kings, and an en suite bathroom, shower & closet with safe. Air conditioning in bedrooms and bathrooms only. The guest cottage offers breathtaking views of the ocean, as it is also located directly on the beach. Each bedroom has a private patio.
Our stunning pink sand beach stretches for miles and miles on the Atlantic Ocean. It is renowned as one of the finest beaches on Eleuthera and is an idyllic place for swimming, snorkeling, walking or just plain relaxing with a book and a cool drink under the 2 new palapas located right on the beach... Great location, great property. Beautiful beach where you could walk for about four miles. We had 7 adults all friends and it was perfect. Hanging out together or getting away from everyone worked great. We went out exploring every morning, ate lunch at different beach bars every day and back to the house for a nap by 2:00. Had chefs come in and cook us dinner almost every night and it was amazing. Our only complaint was the frying pans were unusable, but it did not matter because the chefs brought them if they needed them. House is centrally located on island so it is easy to get to either end and we did. The heated pool was great also. Would highly recommend.

Wow! Plage Rose is an amazing property on the most beautiful stretch of pink sand beach in all of Eleuthera (we've been coming to Eleuthera for 30 years)! We felt immediately welcomed by the design of the home and all of the special touches (the artwork is wonderful and the kitchen was superb). The size of the estate ensured privacy - we never saw another person on 'our beach' the entire week. We were so fortunate in that the weather for the last 4 days was perfect and the Atlantic was like a giant bathtub - it was a beautiful turquoise and crystal clear! I didn't think we would use the pool, but we did, everyday (was great for the grandkids to jump in while we were making dinner - while we could keep our eyes on them). A huge shout-out to Merlene and the rest of the home crew - they checked in on us regularly and quickly resolved the one tiny issue we had. There were so many great things about the home but to sum it up - WE LOVED PLAGE ROSE and we will be back! Great experience here with our family! We flew in from Atlanta, GA on a short 2 hour flight into North Eleuthera Airport. We spent 5 days here and it was perfect for our family.
The location was exclusive with an oceanfront property that was steps from the perfect beach. Having the view of the beach from our rental from inside the home was amazing!
Everything we needed was supplied inside of the home. It was nice to have a home away from home without missing out on any of the essentials back home.
I would HIGHLY recommend you have the property stocked with all food you might need before arriving. This property is very remote and restaurants aren’t just right around the corner. We had no problems since we prepared in advance.
So much to say about this place but I think the picture and videos I posted speak for themselves. Enjoy your vacation!

We spent 2 weeks on this beautiful island. There are plenty activities to do with the kids. It is our third visit in the Bahamas after Great Exuma and Abaco. This island is definitely the best island so far.
Regarding the house, five star !!! Denise, the owner, has been fabulous with us with advices, explainning everything in details and organizing the restaurants bookings in advance for us because coming from Europe. The house is gorgeous, on the beach. A nice kitchen, a huge livingroom and 2 big bedrooms, one with shower.there is also another restroom close to the livingroom.
Adjacent to the mainhouse there is an annex with 2 separates bedrooms, both with bathrooms but we didn't use it. The property is well preserved, the palm trees (illuminated at night) are beautiful. We didn't use AC that much because of the nice breeze.
The house is close to a nice beach (Ten beach) and 20 min away from Governor's Harbour where most of the restaurants are.
Overall a VERY VERY good stay.
I can only recommend this property and this island.

Plage Rose is a wonderful spot if you want a quiet, peaceful vacation. The beach was beautiful and I probably only saw six people using it during our entire two week visit. Plage Rose is perfectly situated on the island to allow for trips North and South when exploring. However, it is such a great location and beautiful home, you don't need to go anywhere. Miles of beach to walk, the beautiful pool area to lounge around and the interesting small islands to provide more than just ocean to look at all make for a great stay.
The house is beautifully appointed with linens, kitchen gadgets and dishes, beach and pool items and more. There wasn't anything we wished for that wasn't available.
We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return.
Violet, the housekeeper, is a sweetheart who takes wonderful care of the house. The caretaker outside also keeps the grounds and beach well groomed.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful spacious, comfortable, very private home. We had a party of seven, which worked perfectly with the guest house. Everyone had space and privacy and the very large property gave us true seclusion. The home was spotlessly clean (thank you Violet!), and had everything you could possibly need to actually live there. The kitchen was very well equipped with several sets of dinnerware, flatware, nice cookware, knives, and every utensil you will need. This is a chef's kitchen! I loved that spices remain and are available for the next guest. We spent a lot of time snorkeling, beach hopping, relaxing, and visiting nearby beach bars and restaurants. There is wonderful snorkeling on a line of coral heads straight out the back door very close to shore. Endless beaches nearby. Some snorkel gear is available, but we brought our own sets. The Beach and the water at Plage Rose is truly something to see, very beautiful location. We also enjoyed the pool every afternoon with drink in hand. The pool is nicely maintained, very clean, with great deck chairs. We fed the cats and enjoyed the local wildlife to include the resident Yellow-crowned Night Heron who hangs out by the pool. We had a very fun boat outing with Bubba at Fishbones Tours. We enjoyed local restaurants Tippy's, Fishbones, The Deck, Pascal's, Mate&Jennys, and 1648 at French Leave. We loved the quiet uncommercialized beauty. No large towns or hustle and bustle. The people of Eleuthera were kind and welcoming. We were also able to get the covid test required for the US flight back home in a few minutes at the nearby North Palmetto Point clinic - quick, easy, very efficient. Much thanks to Denise for a fabulous time! We have a list of so many sights, beaches, and resturants we still want to visit, so we will be back! We definitely recommend Plage Rose.

Having a place exceed expectations is the exception to the rule. Plage Rose is one such exception. It’s comfortable, impressively supplied, meticulously clean, and has a balance of privacy and social areas.
The main house has a master bedroom with ensuite. A second bedroom shares a smaller bathroom with the main house. The guest house has 2 bedrooms with ensuites All bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.
The main house kitchen has a sitting area that seats 5. A more formal dining room is adjacent. The kitchen is surprisingly well-stocked.
The main living room area has comfortable couches and a large TV.
The house has air conditioning, ceiling fans, and (almost more importantly) screens for windows and patio doors.
Plage Rose, is on Double Bay (Atlantic) where the sea tends to be rougher, but you’re only a 12-minute drive (a rough road in) to Ten Bay, one of the island’s many stunning Caribbean beaches.
You’re close to Governor’s Harbour, the hub of the island. Even closer is Island Farms, for produce. Our preference for fresh produce is Phil’s, about a mile north of Rainbow inn (best restaurant on the island for our group).
15-minutes south of the house is a new grocery store, Cost-Cutter, which is convenient and well-stocked (by island standards). Further south you’ll find the largest grocery store on the island, in Rock Sound.

Violet, who looks after the house, and leaves the place spotless is a joy!
This was our 4th visit to the island and Matt Simon from Eleuthera Vacation Rentals was a real lifesaver for a few major reasons on this trip that had nothing to do with Plage Rose. I have rented many homes in many states and countries, but Plage Rose was the most well appointed, comfortable, and well-stocked home I've ever rented! The bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds and quality linens. We did use the air conditioning in the bedrooms at night, but it wasn't necessary during the day with the doors open on both sides of the house and the ceiling fans on in all the rooms. The sea breeze and the fans were all that we needed to stay comfortable. There were five in my party and there was plenty of room for all anywhere on the property without being crowded at all. The patio furniture is top of the line and there was more than enough outside every door to accommodate our entire party, and then some. The beach with the palapas was spectacular and the inland saltwater lake was great for bird watching. We spent a great deal of time at the house enjoying the sounds of the sea and the incredible water! This house was everything the description said it was, and then some!
The owner, Denise, provided us with great recommendations for sights to see and restaurants to visit. We were not disappointed with any of the recommendations. The people of Eleuthera were wonderfully polite and generous, coming to our aid more than once during our visit.
