Property Description

This classic contemporary, two-bedroom, two bathroom home is the ideal base for your dream vacation. The entire interior is painted in cloud white. This creates a crisp, elegant look and is the perfect backdrop to an incredible art collection. It is fitting that Valhalla, the name of this unique residence, is not simply a street number. You will soon appreciate the reference to heaven and your own piece of paradise, whether you are Norwegian or not.
The pool area is half of the property. This outdoor space allocation is appropriate for an island with 260 sunny days per calendar year. If you're like most vacationers you'll want to spend lots of time swimming, floating, or just dangling from the sparkling blue waters.
You can relax in the pool's heated waters or take a nap on the stone deck. You can find small cocktail tables nearby to hold your iPad, Kindle or other beverages. You can choose to stretch out in the sun or shade, depending on the time of day and the amount of sunlight hitting the deck.
If you need complete shade, then move to the nearby wood-planked, roofed porch. You'll find potted plants and a conversation area. There is also a dining area for six and a barbecue grill. You can sit down and enjoy fresh tropical fruit or Key Lime pie. This area is ideal for short tropical showers. You can take in the rain, soak up the positive ions, and still be dry and comfortable.
Step through the back door to access the house. You will be immediately in the "great room", which serves as the living room, TV or movie watching room, study, and family room. The great room is centered around a white couch and three cinnabar pillows, which are arranged among white cushions. The pillows are red/orange squares and refer to the three framed paintings above. These works create a striking contrast between the vibrant palette of reds and yellows and the rectangular white wall with vaulted ceiling. Except for the art in the bedroom, this room, and down the hall, everything is white. The collection is diverse and eclectic, ranging in age from ancient to modern, from local to famous, from sculptures to found objects to carvings to paintings, and everything in between.
The back door has a small, functional kitchen to your right. It contains everything you need for quick and easy meals or one-bite snacks. The ceiling is suspended with a wrought iron rack. This allows you to have all your cookware and utensils right at your fingertips. It also adds visual interest and maximizes storage space. The open floor plan is completed by a convenient open shelf pass-through.
Continue down the hallway from the kitchen. There is more amazing art to the right and three doors to the left. The first and third doors lead to comfortable bedrooms. The one in the middle is a full bathroom. The first bedroom features a queen-sized bed with puffy white duvet and white linens. It also has white louvered closet space, a white dresser, and colorful art. The master suite has a queen-sized bed with puffy white linens. It also includes a full bath. You can see that either bedroom could be peaceful.
