Every spring since 1982, North Lake Tahoe Snowfest has celebrated the magic of winter with one of the region’s most beloved annual festivals. Spanning ten days and nights, Snowfest brings together locals and visitors for an energetic mix of mountain traditions, creative events, and seasonal fun. From ski resorts to lakeside neighborhoods, the festival offers something for all ages, making it a must-experience event during Tahoe’s late-winter season.

Throughout Snowfest, renowned resorts such as Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Diamond Peak, and Northstar host mountainside fireworks, ski shows, and friendly competitions. Off the slopes, the celebration continues with live concerts, themed parties, theatrical performances, and community gatherings that showcase Tahoe’s lively spirit. One of the highlights is the Snowfest Parade along North Lake Boulevard, where colorful floats, interactive booths, live performances, and a touch of mountain Mardi Gras flair bring the streets to life.
