For a Romantic or Family Getaway: THE GENERAL'S CABIN- Kentucky Red River Gorge poplar and oak cabin designed and hand built by the General himself, a Flying Tiger and World War II fighter pilot. A magical and private 40 acres with No Other Cabins or people to bother you. Tucked into the forest with a wall of windows and forest views in every direction.
Located just 15 miles from THE RED RIVER GORGE/ NATURAL BRIDGE STATE PARK area on a gated, private and secluded 40 acres. Drive Down the private tree lined lane to this one of a kind cabin surrounded by lush native woodlands. Hand made walnut double doors invite you into the main living area. A soaring fireplace made of native rock beckons you to sit and enjoy the beauty of the space. A window filled wall looking out the kitchen window allows you to enjoy the dogwood, pines and rhododendren.
2 bedrooms and 2 baths are located off the main living area ; a full 1480 square feet of living space. A loft over looks the great room, and a sitting area under the loft holds another fireplace for your enjoyment. Dock by pond and a 1 mile forest path.
Sit on the front porch and enjoy the solitude(wildlife, including deer and wild turkeys) or drive the short distance to The Red River Gorge/ Natural Bridge area for some of America's most spectacular hiking, climbing, swimming, horseback riding and canoeing.
