A short drive to Killington and just a few miles to the Mountain Top Inn & Resort with cozy tavern or fine dining by car, or a lovely one mile hike. There is XC skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and biking trails just out the door. This lovely restored county colonial is a classic Vermont retreat in winter, summer, or fall.
Amenities include a large hot tub an wicker furniture on the screened porch, an outdoor wood-burning fireplace for grilling or cozy fires, a fully-equipped game room with 3-in-1 game table, satellite TV and DVD. The living room has a gas fireplace and flat screen TV and DVD player.
The house sleeps up to 12; six in private bedrooms for two, one single, and two bedrooms containing a total of five single beds. There are three full baths, one with a jetted tub and shower. There is a modern laundry and half bath on the first floor.
This incredible home is located in the heart of the Green Mountain National forest, and only a short walk to the Chittenden Reservoir. This marvelous body of water is home so several species of fish and all kinds of wild life. These calm waters are perfect for kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, and all types of water fun. The Wooden Barrel General Store, only two miles away, has gas and fishing licenses, and is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
