With local alpine flavor, this charming Old Tahoe woodsy 2 level home is surrounded by pine trees, located on the hillside with a view of the valley, meadow and mountains. Ideal for families, well furnished and equipped.
The open living/dining/kitchen area is highlighted by vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, warm wood paneling, large rock fireplace, wall to wall carpeting, hard wood floors. The living room upstairs opens through French doors on to a deck. Cushioned deck furniture provides comfort in either sun or shade with a picnic table, barbecue and a great hammock!
Located on the hill side, with views of the meadow and mountains, this cozy home offers a quiet, get a way for lazy summer days. This home sleeps 14 in 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms (Jacuzzi in one) Games for kids/adults, dart board, local ski trail maps, restaurant menus/reviews, recreation brochures, baby sitter list, etc.
A mountain home away from home, located 2 minutes from ski lifts, 10 minutes from Lake Tahoe, walking distance from Truckee River, 30 minutes from casinos.
In Squaw Valley, the Robert Trent Jones golf course in the Squaw Meadow offers 18 holes. Resort at Squaw Creek also has a great swimming pool and hot tub layout. High Camp at the top of the Cable Car provides a large lagoon swimming pool, ice skating under a sun shield canopy, mountain bike riding, swimming, hot tub, tennis, lunch/snacks and great views from the top of the mountain. Horse back riding from the Squaw Stables and hiking in Shirley Canyon featuring spectacular wild flowers and the cascading flows of Squaw Creek.
Squaw Lodge fitness center including outdoor swimming, hot tub and indoor steam, sauna, nautilus, aerobics. Bike paths now permit safe and scenic rides through Squaw Valley along the Truckee River to Tahoe City. In addition, Squaw Valley now features 6 restaurants including the luxurious Resort at Squaw Creek.
Fishing and rafting and kayaking on the Truckee River, terminating at the River Ranch only 3 minutes from our house. All the lakes and rivers are full for good fishing. Sailing, boating, kayaking rentals are available. The Shakespeare Festival and music concerts are scheduled at various sites around North Lake Tahoe in July and August.
