This very attractive villa was originally built in the second half of the 19th century and has recently been completely renovated throughout. It is situated only 4 kms from Greve in Chianti on the famous Chianti road which links Florence and Siena, renowned as the most beautiful scenic route in Tuscany. The views from the property are like a picture of typical Chianti landscape. As far as the eye can see, there are gently rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves, and beautiful farmhouses and ancient villas with histories stretching back over the centuries. "
Villa Montoro", mid-way between Florence and Siena, is an ideal base for sightseeing and trips to both the larger Tuscan cities and the smaller towns. Within the well-maintained garden with trees and flower beds there is a swimming pool surrounded by a terrace with changing room and outdoor shower. The interiors of the house have beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and are furnished with comfortable , traditional furniture and antiques. There is a very well-equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. The owner lives in a separate apartment on the estate who can provide cooking service upon request.
DISTANCES: Greve in Chianti (nearest village with shops, bank and PO) is 4kms, Florence is 25kms, the Florence Airport is 35kms and Siena is 75kms. Golf (Ugolino) is 15kms and tennis is 4kms.
A chef, heating and telephone available for an additional charge. There is deposit upon check-in of €250 for the telephone. Extra maid service is €13 per hour. All of these 'a la carte" services are paid locally with Euros and subject to change.
This house accommodates up to 10 people maximum, ahtough there is a guest house for 4 people available on request for an extra charge.
