Back to basics�a quiet place to enjoy nature and relax with family, friends or by yourself�a small cottage that offers an inexpensive get-away to relax and enjoy fishing, kayaking, feeding the ducks or shallow water swimming from a private dock with two boat slips or just lay around on the enclosed porch or outdoor deck which has a gas grill, a table and chairs and overlooks a fire pit. This two bedroom cottage has a fully equipped kitchen so all you need is your food, linens and bedding. The cottage is one of two situated on a lakefront lot and has a limited view of Chautauqua Lake and you can watch the sun rise over the hills from the waterfront or the enclosed porch (windows and screens). But, if you�re in the mood to go out and about, the ferry to Bemus Point is only two lots away and carries pedestrians, bicycles or automobiles and operates w/e and holidays only (be sure not to miss the last return trip of the evening) or you can drive over the nearby bridge that connects to Bemus' bars, restaurants, pizzerias, gift shops, an arcade, basketball courts, sandy beach, modern playground and free outdoor concerts, outdoor worship services or free outdoor family movies (seasonal). The Village of Lakewood is only four miles away and has a shopping mall, cinema center, driving range, great grocery stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Home Depot, Starbucks and lots of restaurants or pizzerias. The cottage is 5 miles from Chautauqua Institute and several golf courses and 15 miles from Lilydale.
One of the best parts�no mosquitos�day or night!!!! Come on down...leave the city behind, relax and enjoy the outdoors...no phone or internet (just cable tv)... by design so bring a fishing pole or a good book and your favorite mug or wine glass.
***Special note: although cottage is not wheelchair accessible it is wheelchair friendly so be sure to mention the portable ramps...the lake and the dock can be seen from the enclosed porch or outside deck so you can enjoy the outdoors without using the stairs. Both entrances have a railing and a few stairs for guests or visitors with limited mobility***.
