Back to basics…a quiet place to enjoy nature with family, friends or by yourself…a small retreat that offers an inexpensive get-away to relax and enjoy fishing, feeding the ducks, quiet water sports, swimming or boating from a private dock or just relaxing on the enclosed porch or outdoor deck which has a gas grill, a table and chairs and overlooks a firepit which is great for campfires . This two bedroom cottage has a fully equipped kitchen so all you need is your food, linens and firewood. Watch the sun rise over the hills, enjoy a hot shower or just sit on the porch and relax or soak up the rays on the deck. But, if you’re in the mood to go out and about, there is lots to do ...the ferry to Bemus Point is only two lots away but be sure not to miss the last return trip of the evening and carries pedestrians, bikers or automobiles or you can drive over the nearby bridge that connects to Bemus Point's restaurants, gift shops, arcade, basketball courts, a sandy beach and a modern playground. The Village of Lakewood is 5 miles away and has a shopping mall, cinema center, grocery stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Home Depot, Starbucks and lots of restaurants or pizzerias. The cottage is only 4 miles from Chautauqua Institute and near several golf courses and a driving range. Warm days and cool nights and one of the best parts…no mosquitos…day or night!!!! Dock a boat for free in one of the two slips available on your private dock. Chautauqua is an inland lake located in SW New York...it's about 15 mi long and our cottage is situated at the midpoint on the western shore right across from Bemus Point. Our kids & grandkids love this area...like many others, we work hard and treasure our family time! Please Note that the cottage is on a lakefront lot so there is a great view of the lake but the view of Bemus Point is obstructed by another cottage. The photos were taken in '08 & '09 so take a peak and check the cottage out!

Cottage is not wheel chair accessible but it is wheel chair friendly so once you're in...you're chair is good to go. The owner is disabled and very sensitive to the need for indoor/outdoor comfort and beauty for all!!! There are lawn chairs on the deck and a settee at the water's edge (just 75' away) for watching the ferry or listening to the sound of the water hitting the shore or listening to the Bemus Pops on Sunday afternoons (in season) so don't forget your binoculars for an audio visual effect. The view from the lakefront is beautiful and sure to provide hours of enjoyment in the full sun or shade....no mosquitos at Chautauqua and no sand to sweep so relax, take some pictures and make lots of memories!!!
