Property Activities

Disney
The Magic Kingdom which is just over 100 acres, first began treating guests to its special combination of adventure and fantasy on October 1st, 1971. Since that opening day countless guests young and old from all over the world have enjoyed and experienced the many sights and sounds of this park.. Magic Kingdom is the place where seven lands of fantasy are filled with plenty of fun. The Magic Kingdom Park is home to three of Florida’s highest “mountains”! Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland rises 197 feet above ground level, Space Mountain in Tomorrowland rises 183 feet, and Splash Mountain in Frontierland rises 85 feet. The Magic Kingdom perhaps more than any of the other Walt Disney World theme parks epitomises the magic that is Disney.

Golf CoursesThere are approximately sixty golf courses to choose from in the Orlando area. Below is a list of golf courses within a short driving distance of our villa.

Faldo Golf Institute

Eagle Pines (Disney)
Eagle Pines was designed with most of the tees, fairways, and greens lying below the surrounding grade. The course, for the most part, is surrounded by scrub pine woods. Water hazards are scattered about the course and affect 16 of the 18 holes. The greens are medium-sized.

Falcons Fire Golf Club
A Rees Jones Signature Design Masterpiece. One of the many reasons why Falcon’s Fire remain’s one of the premier Orlando golf courses is because the course pays respects to the timeless traditions of the game of golf.

Hunters Creek Golf Course
While the fairways are spacious and forgiving, they are long, so the tee shot is key.Generous (but well-bunkered) wavy greens, wooden bridges and ample, tree lined fairways give Hunter´s Creek a pleasant country feel.

Lake Buena Vista (Disney)
A classic country club course winding its way through everything from thick forests to pastel vacation villas. The magic of Disney surrounds you, along with the enchantment of nature in the form of magnificent Florida pines, palmettos, reflection ponds and wildlife.

MGM Studios
Disney’s MGM is a working movie and television studio theme park. So for those interested in the history and technology of the movies or those who just want to be entertained Disney-MGM Studios should have something for everyone.
Disney-MGM Studios is essentially divided into two sections. The front of the park is a theme park much like the Magic Kingdom with open access to guests. The rear of the park is the “backlot”, with its working sound stages, wardrobe shops and animation studios. Here access is limited to guided tours that are conducted by either walking or by tram.

Hollywood Boulevard - With its art deco architecture this is the “Main Street” of Disney-MGM Studios. It is designed to look like a recreation of Hollywood during the 1920’s and 30’s. All along the palm lined street guests will find a mix of merchandise shops and eateries.

Animal Kingdom
This 500-acre theme park is the largest of the Walt Disney World theme parks, however it is not size alone that sets it apart from the others. Lush landscaping, winding paths, beautiful gardens, mysterious and exotic architecture and over a 1,000 animals all give guests the sense that you have entered more than just another theme park.

The Animal Kingdom opened in April of 1998 to some disapproval, controversy and even debate over whether a zoo no matter how non-traditional in design was worthy of Disney. Those initial criticisms have in part faded due to the collaborative efforts of Disney Imagineers along with some of the premiere zoological talent in the country who have turned out not only some unique and enjoyable attractions, but also some first class natural animal habitat exhibits.

Typhoon Lagoon
Disney legend has it that a furious storm once roared across the sea, hurling surfboards into trees, blowing small boats through roofs and impaling a shrimp boat on a peak of a great volcanic mountain. Left in the typhoon’s wake are twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways and relaxing rivers. Whether you are navigating the nine exhilarating waterslides and streams or conquering one of the world’s largest artificially created waves, Typhoon Lagoon promises the most wild, wonderful and wet water adventure known to man or fish.

Blizzard Beach
Disney legend has it that after a freak winter storm blanketed the area with snow, Florida’s first ski resort was born. When temperatures returned to normal, the powdery snow turned to slippery slush. Slalom courses, bobsled and toboggan runs became downhill waterslides. The chair lift carried swimmers instead of skiers. The ski jump became the tallest, fastest water slide in the nation. An excellent water park to visit with a variety of water rides areas for all ages and abilities.
