Beautiful, Relaxing, Fun!
The house was spacious and clean and had all the amenities we needed to cook for our large group of family friends. Everyone was able to find their own little "space" to get away if they wanted time alone, and the spots for group gathering were inviting and had a good amount of seating.

The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all, although I highly reccommend rentting a beach cart with the bubble wheels because the sand is very soft on the hill

We will definitely return to this house in the future; it was a wonderful vacation!

Great Vacation Home
Clear Skies is a great vacation home for a family. We stayed there for a week. It was very clean inside. Only a short walk to both the ocean and the sound side which was super nice. The pond was nice - saw some turtles, caught a catfish, and saw a blue heron. Overall I would definitely come back to this home. Only suggestion would be to clean up the cobwebs around the outside of the home.

Lovely Home & Location In Duck
Great house with all the features you could need, including a well-stocked kitchen. The pool is a little small, especially if you're more than one family, but the beach is a very short walk away. The only downside to the house are all of the spiders, both in and out. The cleaning crew doesn't seem to clean/remove them and there are webs on every level. Most are on the porch furniture and pool, but there are a fair few in the house too.

Great Place!
Great house for two larger young families. Good layout of rooms, nothing breakable, easy walk to beach, and the kids spent a lot of time in the pool. We’ll maintained property, especially the landscaping. Not sure I would rent again though because of the frogs in the pond - they were SO loud and could be heard all through the night within the house...kind of cool for the first few nights but it got old.

Perfect For Two Large Families
Clear Skies was a great house. It was a short walk to the beach on a private road with very little traffic. We enjoyed coming back from the beach to swim in the pool. Also it's only a short walk to the water sports store where we went to SUP on the soundside.

Wonderful Stay!!! Great Location!!
We typically rent oceanfront or soundfront so I was a bit concerned about how long of a walk to the beach this would be. It was a very short and easy walk anI LOVED being able to take a very short walk to watch the sunsets over the sound as well. House was comfortable, nice decks and we used the screened porch a lot since we had many rainy days. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. I enjoyed the pond way more than I expected. LOVE the turtles!! All in all a great place to stay!

Great House, Wonderful Pond!
This was our second stay at Clear Skies and this is our favorite vacation rental in Duck. The unit is always very clean, there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and my son and I love the pool table on the lower level. Listening to the frogs in the evening as they sing in the adjoining pond always makes it special! The turtles are fun to feed too. The property is close enough to the beach, with no busy roads to cross. The local beach is great, and a lifeguard is on duty. The newest feature was the omni-lock installed on the front door of the property, which allowed us to go straight to the property, and use a code to enter, hence completely bypassing the usual stop at the rental office. Same procedure for checkout too. Super convenient!

The pond is definitely a simply great place to be near for the sounds and wildlife you get to see in their natural environment. Our New Vacation Home In Duck
We had a great week. The house is very comfortable. Loved the pool and hot tub. We've vacationed in Duck for over 15 years, 13 years in the same house. We now have made Clear Skies our new vacation house. We are so glad we made the change. We are renting for 2 wks. next summer. My only request would be a cloths line for wet suits and towels. Maybe in the carport area. I don't like my towels hanging over the railings of the house. I want the house to look perfect without towels on display.

Another Great Stay In The OBX
Our house "Clear Skies" was exactly as described. This house delivered a wonderful vacation spot this year. It's only 5 houses from the beach in Duck, had an amazing little pond that my family enjoyed everyday, and had a beautiful pool just in case we were red flagged from the beach which we were so the pool got plenty of use. The house was very clean, had nice large washer and dryer, and had a decently stocked kitchen for cooking as far as the pots/pans/appliances/Tupperware go. This house was big enough for us all to confortably relax without being on top of each other. We especially loved the Sunday check in this year as the traffic was totally non existent unlike our Saturday check in for other properties in the past. We loved the little personal gift the home owner sent to us as well just giving that extra effort you know the owner cares about their house guests. Our realty company was amazing with the check in procedure and the property was even ready a bit early and they reset the keyless entry to allow us earlier access to the property without paying extra by shooting us a phone call and relaying the info over the phone. I would definitely stay in this house again and book it through Kitty Hawk Realty and Construction without a doubt.

Clear Skies Vacation
We had a wonderful time at Clear skies. Everything was in clean working order. I would like to suggest that you may want to make beach equipment available to guests like some other rental homes do, such as beach chairs, sand toys, and a wagon.
