Property Description
Serenity Creek, a charming and affordable mountain cottage located on Beech Mountain, is situated on a large lot with trees. Ski Beech is less than two (2) mile away. Beech Mountain offers many activities, including mountain biking, hiking, fishing, sledding and more. The village also has fun shopping, restaurants and putt-putt. Weekend concerts are also held there. Banner Elk, a charming mountain village, is located about five (5) mile away. It has a downtown that includes many open-air markets, craft fairs, restaurants, fun parks and more. Boone and Blowing rock are both approximately twenty-five (25) mile away. Seven Devils is about fifteen (15) minutes away and has Otter Falls trails, as well as Hawksnest Resort, which offers zip lines and snowtubing. The village of Valle Crucis has a riverfront community park and the Original Mast General Store, which dates back to mid-1800s. Grandfather Mountain is only 15 miles away. Sugar Mountain is only ten (10) minutes away. Elk, New and Watauga rivers are all nearby. Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center is also only a few minutes away, on the backside Beech Mountain. The lake offers fishing, canoeing and paddle boating. The recreation center offers many indoor and outdoor sporting courts and fields.
The cottage is on one level and has a level entrance, which is great for people with mobility issues. The parking area is followed by a level walkway to the front deck, and the front door. The open living, kitchen, and dining area is easy to navigate. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with a shower and tub combination, and a patio door that leads to the rear patio. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an HDTV. Another full bathroom with a bathtub and shower combination is located centrally near the living area and the second bedroom. The living room features a large HDTV, family games, and a queen-size sleeper sofa.
The front and back decks are open air and feature seating, an outdoor eating area, and a barbecue. Steps lead to a lower deck right beside the creek. The yard is surrounded by a swirling stream and boasts a nice wood-burning fireplace with plenty of seating. The rest of the yard has a partial wooded area, but is still fully accessible and explorable. Serenity Creek also offers a lower laundry area with a washer/dryer, WiFi Internet, digital television programming, and an entertaining gas log buck fireplace in the living room. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding and ice skating. Mountain bikers can also use the quad lift during the summer months to enjoy the technical downhill mountain trails that are carefully cut through the forest. It's a great way to get energized and is safe for those who can handle it. Beech Mountain offers mountain bike rentals with all the safety gear you need.
Dogs only are allowed, with a maximum of two (2) dogs per household. Each dog is limited to 50 pounds. Standard pet fees are applicable.
