Welcome to Lanes End!
Lanes End is an upscale, modern mountain home with 3BR/3BA, located in the gated Tynecastle neighborhood, centrally located between Boone, Blowing rock, and Banner Elk. Shopping, restaurants, hiking, skiing, golf and more are all within a few miles. Lanes End is only 11 miles from Boone, 4 to downtown Banner Elk and 18 to Blowing Rock. It is less than eight miles to the village of Valle Crucis, with its amazing riverfront community park and historic Mast General Store from pre-civil War era.

Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts are both within 3 miles. This gives you access to hiking trails, skiing, snowboarding ice skating, tubing in the snow, as well as an 18-hole golf. Beech Mountain Ski Resort and Appalachian Ski Mountain are both less than six miles away. Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Ziplines Resort can be reached in a 10-mile drive. Tweetsie Railroad, which is less than 20 miles from the resort, and both Elk and Watauga Rivers are also minutes away. Both rivers offer fishing and white-water rafting.

The main level at Lanes End is spacious, bright, and filled with sunlight. The open-concept kitchen, dining and living area has hardwood floors and a vaulted, vaulted ceiling. It has been painstakingly remodeled by the new owners in order to provide guests with a contemporary, upscale mountain setting, complete with all the comforts and amenities that discerning guests would expect. The living room has designer furniture, a stone fireplace that extends from floor to ceiling, an HD SmartTV, and spectacular views of Grandfather Mountain and the surrounding mountains. The kitchen features stainless appliances, quartz countertops, a large central island with leathered granite and bar stool seating. It has also been thoughtfully stocked to welcome guests. The adjacent dining room table comfortably seats 6 to 7 people, and the four bar stools on the kitchen island can accommodate a large group for dinner. A covered porch, with a gas barbecue, comfortable outdoor seating and a fire table, is located just off the dining area.

The master bedroom suite, located on the main floor, has a king size bed, a gas fireplace, a HD Smart TV, walk-in closets, and a private master bathroom. The sliding glass door leads to the open-air terrace and has large windows with mountain views. The deck, which is accessible from both the master bedroom and the living area, features Adirondack style seating and offers a view of the rolling grounds that surround Lanes End as well as Grandfather Mountain and its surrounding peaks.

On the main floor, there is a second queen-size bedroom. The central bathroom can be accessed from both the hallway and the bedroom.

The lower level has a queen-sized suite, a third bedroom and a bathroom. There is also a reading nook and a daybed for extra sleeping space. The ensuite bathroom features a large closet and dressing area. Note that the daybed is short and is only suitable for children under 10 years old. The laundry room, with washer and dryer, is also on the lower floor, as is the attached garage which has been transformed into a den with a comfortable sofa, a huge HD Smart TV and a foosball game. Central heating and air conditioning are available throughout.

Lanes End is surrounded with mature and safe woods, and many acres of private and usable yard. The property is surrounded by acres of natural conservancy land. You will enjoy the privacy and comfort that the name implies. The back yard has a wood-burning fireplace with seating, a 6-person spa, and plenty of room to park four or more cars on the gravel driveway.

**NOTE: In the winter, chains and 4-wheel drive are required to access the home in the event of bad weather. **

You can cancel your booking within 24 hours and receive a refund in full. If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to arrival, you'll receive a 50% refund.
