Twisted Chimney Haven, a charming home just outside West Jefferson. This cabin is located near many amenities and fun activities in the High Country. It's only about 20 miles from Boone, 8 to West Jefferson and less than 7 to Jefferson. Ashe County has many local attractions, including golf at Jefferson Landing. A walking mural tour is available in Downtown West Jefferson. There are also cheese factory tours and breweries in the area. There are lots of fun activities in the area around Jefferson and Wilkesboro. New River State Park is just 4 minutes from the New River, where guests can enjoy tubing, rafting or fishing. There are many places nearby where you can drop off your rafts with friends, drive to a pickup spot a few minutes away, and spend the afternoon rafting on the New River. Numerous guide services in the area will outfit you for tubing or kayaking. There are many guided fly-fishing or reel-fishing options available for native and released sport fish such as small-mouth bass and trout. The living room on the main floor has comfortable furniture arranged around a gas log fireplace. There is also a TV. The kitchen has two dining tables to accommodate a large family, a gas barbecue, an outdoor table, and additional deck seating.
