The most charming old school cottage charm with all modern updates. We come to the mountains alot and rent different properties to experience. This was one of the most spectacular views we’ve experienced. So enjoyed the fire pit every night and star gazing left us speechless. We could see the Milky Way! It’s quiet and peaceful yet close to so much. The home is beautifully decorated and pieces of the cabin’s history are all around. The beds were very cozy. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. If you have small children that enjoy playing in the yard, note that the backyard is small with quite a drop off. Certainly not a complaint, just something to be aware of.

We loved this cozy home, comfortable bed and furniture, nicely decorated, wifi and cell (Verizon) worked great. Everything was clean and nice. The view was awesome and we enjoyed sitting o the back patio, drinking our coffee and seeing the New River. The location is convenient to restaurants and groceries (Ingles/Walmart). Definitely recommend!

Great spot with long distance views! Cabin has lots of charm and character! It was very clean and relaxing. This cabin is great for older adults because of not stairs and easy excess from paved road. Very close to West Jefferson and near by restaurants.

This house is great. It is well appointed and very attractive. The furnishings are tasteful and attractive. The view is worth the rental. The master bath and bedroom are quite spacious. The other two bedrooms and bath are smallish. Heat is by space heaters, but they were adequate while we were there. I can highly recommend this rental.

We have rented here for the last 2 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. From opening the door you feel the comfortable cabin/house feeling. Everything you need is here. Open the door to the outside and you are in awww. Seeing mother nature’s beautiful canopy . Down below the new river where you can tube, walk the river . It’s just the greatest place to rent

We stayed here for a short weekend getaway. The house was perfect! Beautiful view out the back. I have never stayed in a place that was so clean. Spotless. The decor was tasteful. Close to the blue ridge parkway. We ate downtown at a couple of good restaurants. Near a grocery store. Easy ride to Boone and Blowing rock. The two times I called the rental agency, the woman answering the phone was extremely nice and helpful! Would definitely go back! .

Overall our stay was great! The view of the New River and mountains was awesome! Paved road with easy access to pull our motorcycle up. We were only a few miles away from West Jeffson. The cabin itself was nice and cozy. The downside was using space heaters for primary source of heat. They did seem to be sufficient. The master bed was not real comfortable, however I have back issues so maybe it was just me. The view made up any short comings of the cabins. Love the West Jefferson area.

This house was in a nice area and felt like you are away from people even though there are few houses around. The decor was very nice and had plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor patio and space is amazing and the view is just as amazing! Loved every minute of being there!

This rental was amazing. The view is something you have to experience . The cabin( house) was everything we were looking for and the history of the place was interesting. I cannot forget all the constellations and the fireflies that were so abundant it looked liked Christmas lights flickering.

Cabin is as advertised - cozy and well decorated. View of mountains/river is outstanding! Loved sitting out at any time (if it's not raining) - mornings, afternoon, or evening by the fire pit. Firefly display at night was added bonus. Note that kitchen is very small...we only had 4 people here, so it was fine, 6 may feel a little crowded.

First time Coming to the mountains

The cabin was so nice we love the decors and the view was breathtaking I never seen anything like it before. It was our first time coming to any mountains and it was perfect. I wish I could go back right now. The beds slept so good probably the best sleep I have had in years. Only suggestion I have is to leave more toilet paper we ran out in the second day and had to us tissue or take a shower to get clean. Also I think the description should tell renters that the guest rooms don’t have air conditioner even though we enjoyed the outside air with the window fans and ceiling fan.

We are thrilled that you enjoyed your first time in the Carolina Mountains. The view from Pisgah Heights is breathtaking. We leave starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels and it is indicated in the rental agreement you sign and a guest confirmation email to bring extra paper supplies. West Jefferson does have several grocery stores where you could have purchased additional. This home does have window AC units and it is cooled quiet well with those units and the ceiling fans. We do hope you will return and stay with us in the future.

Our group stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The cabin is cozy with just the right amenities and accommodations. It is just a short drive to downtown, which has great dining and shopping options. There are also quite a few hiking spots with the most amazing sites to see.

We spent our mornings sipping coffee and looking out at the gorgeous view, while our evenings we spent by the campfire. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms met everyone's needs. We will definitely be back!

Beautifully appointed, yet comfortable spacious cabin with all the amenities. The location had plenty attractions, relaxing time on the river—sitting on the quiet sandy beach(next time we’re going tubing and kayaking), lovely eclectic shops and restaurants in town and a great golf course, but we chose to stay mostly at the cabin to relax and ENJOY THE INCREDIBLE VIEWS MOUNTAIN AND RIVER VIEWS.

The twin river view is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. If you are looking for a romantic get away this is the place to go.
