The Barn was a perfect place for 2 people. It was in a great location on a paved road, easily accessible, and had all the amenities needed for our stay. There was a slight problem when we arrived, but the property manager & owner quickly resolved the issue! We would definitely recommend The Barn to a couple looking for a place to stay in the Black Hill close to Lead & Deadwood, SD.

"The Barn" was a perfect location in the canyon, also close to Deadwood and Lead. Easy to find and plenty of parking. The guide provided a couple days prior gives you all the information you need regarding checkin etc and all in one convenient location. It was a very clean place with all the amenities you need to cook a full meal including a gas grill. It was just my husband and I, but could setup air mattress in living area for 1 or 2 more. Spent evenings on the patio taking in all the pines and the family of deer that visit nightly. Appreciated the Dark Canyon coffee sample. Needless to say..i am hooked. Will be scheduling our next stay around the availablity of this place. Thanks for a great stay.

The Barn, located on Hanna Road /Cheyenne Crossing, was the perfect vacation retreat. We had never been to the Black Hills and, of course, there are so many things to do within an hour and a half from our rental. Sitting out on the patio and watching the deer every morning with a cup of coffee, and every evening, with a glass of wine, also gave us the tranquility that we needed after a busy day of sightseeing. Just north, on Spearfish. Canyon Road, was a fantastic restaurant, Lightstitch, part of the Spearfish, Canyon Lodge, was ideal. Sitting out on the back patio with its fantastic view, was the perfect conclusion to our week in the Black Hills. The property is exactly as described, and absolutely clean and accommodating for our needs. They thought of all the nice little things as well, for example, at the end of our first day of sightseeing, we came back to find cushions on the outdoor patio area. I highly recommend this property, especially for a couple trying to get away.
