As you approach Donner Dreams Lakefront, you can't help but feel like you've "arrived" at your new lakefront home.  This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom vacation home was completely renovated in 2023 with vacationers in mind and nearly everything down to the sheets is BRAND new.   Enjoy all the modern comforts including a smart thermostat, super-fast Wi-Fi, and a smart TV.  And the most important amenity?  Your very own private dock on Donner Lake!  

As you enter this lake front vacation home, the first floor greets you with a well-equipped remote workspace, a private bathroom and a guest bedroom with a king bed and stunning lake view.   Descending the stairs, you’ll enter the main living space where new furnishings and brand new home media provide a modern feel as does the well equipped kitchen where new modern stainless appliances add a luxurious touch.   Two additional bedrooms complete the main floor, one with a bunk bed and queen bed. The other offers another king-sized bed as well as balcony access through a sliding glass door.  A small loft is also available, accessible only by ladder and provides a full sized bed.

Summer travelers will understand just how special a lake front vacation rental can be.  While your friends struggle to find lakeside parking, you’ll be sprawled out with a book and a beverage on your own PRIVATE dock, a coveted amenity in Truckee.  Enjoy the lake there or check out the beach area, or maybe stay close by on the sprawling porch (with dining furniture, lounge chairs, and a BBQ).   In the winter months, being on the water has it's on unique appeal.  Jaw dropping lake views abound from nearly every room, and the white capped peaks beyond are a sight to be seen.  However, Donner Lake is also an  incredibly convenient location for skiers as well.  You'll avoid the traffic of many Tahoe Donner locations (and steep roadways too!).    For more on this location, check out the ABOUT THE AREA section below!

In the majestic folds of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, the Donner Lake area is a gem teeming with breathtaking landscapes and boundless outdoor pursuits. The distinctive four-season climate renders this region a playground for diverse adventures throughout the year.

During the winter months, the region is transformed into a snowy paradise, inviting snow sports enthusiasts from all corners. In the winter, ski Palisades Resort (17 min drive), Boreal Mountain (10 min drive), or Sugar Bowl.

As the warmth of summer melts away the snow, the area undergoes a dramatic transformation. In the summer, golf at Coyote Moon (5 min drive) and explore Donner Lake State Park (1 min walk).  The centerpiece is the serene Donner Lake. Its sparkling waters promise a medley of water sports - boating, fishing, and paddleboarding being popular favorites among locals and tourists alike. 

Don't forget to explore the local culinary scene at the renowned Donner Lake Kitchen.
