Lone Peak greets you as you walk out of the front door each morning. This is another great reminder of the location.

Enjoy a short drive in the summer to the Beehive Basin Trailhead, a moderate hike that leads to a mountain lakes, with wildflowers, and the surrounding views. Summer activities in Big Sky are endless. Saddle Ridge is a short drive from mountain biking, golfing and hiking, Town Center Events, outdoor shows, and Town Center events.

In the winter, you can ski down to Pony Express or walk to Iron Horse Lift in just 5 minutes. Moonlight Basin can be reached in 8 minutes by car or mountain shuttle (please check the routes and schedules to find out exact pick-up and drop-off times).

Montana A/C is a good way to cool down the house during summer. It involves opening windows at night, and closing them during the day. Closing the windows during the day will keep cool air in the house. We ask that you close them if you're not at home.

Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport:It is important to have a vehicle available during your stay in order to enjoy all that Big Sky offers. You can travel easily from the Gallatin river to Lone Peak. In other communities, taxis and ride-sharing services are plentiful. However, Big Sky is a small community with limited transportation options. We offer a 5% off code to Explore Rentals. They are located just minutes from the Bozeman airport and offer 4-wheel drive vehicles equipped with snow tires during the winter and all season tires during the summer.
