Stratford enjoys the use of twenty-two parks, with a total area of 1,000 acres.
Recreationally there are two golf courses within the city boundary:
The Municipal Golf Course: Nine holes. Pay as you play. Licensed Dining Room.
Stratford Country Club: 18 hole championship golf course. Reserved Tee-off with a days advance bookings. Membership and green fees. Curling and Squash (two courts). Licenced Dining Room, Bar, and Lounge. Recreationally, there are numerous special interest groups, service clubs, and cultural activities. The city has an abundance of activities for senior citizens.
There are five daycare centres, and one hospital (Stratford General).
The Public Art Gallery has frequent exhibitions of original art and sculpture.
