Property Information
The Cottages at Little River Cove are a haven for travelers who want to enjoy the best that the Northern California coast has to offer. The unique property is situated high on a bluff, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The cozy property is perfect for travelers who desire comfortable accommodations, a fireplace, modern full kitchen and bath, a designer bedroom and amazing ocean views.
We have 9 cottages to choose from, so we usually have space available to accommodate you!
Each cottage has a king or queen bed, full bath, kitchen, dining area and queen sofa-bed. Living rooms feature ocean views and a fireplace. Every cottage has a deck & a private setting off the bedroom. Skylights welcome the morning sun. Six of the cottages are pet friendly.
The property’s beautiful grounds have been professionally landscaped, and include rustic stone retaining walls, pathways for ambling, beautiful green lawns, native planted gardens, a central flagstone patio and comfortable furniture to take in the many gorgeous views of the Pacific.
We are located in the town of Little River, just 2.5 miles south of the Village of Mendocino.
Our cottages are luxurious and our views are spectacular, but we’re still the best value on the Mendocino Coast. Come check us out soon!

The Cottages at Little River Cove are located in Little River, just 2 miles South of the Village of Mendocino, on the beautiful Mendocino Coast. We are just 8 miles North of the intersection of Highway 128 and US 1, and 10 miles South of the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 1.
Vacation Rental Policies
| Other Policies: We love well behaved pets and encourage you to bring up to three pets along with you!
We will welcome our furry, four-footed guests with pet beds, food and water bowls, and an outdoor pet shower. In your cottage, you will find a "Pet Package" containing a pet towel, waste bags and premium treats to welcome your beloved animals.
To ensure that all guests have an enjoyable stay, we'll ask Pet Parents to sign the following Pet Policy when you check in.
I have read and agreed to the following Pet Policy for Cottages at Little River Cove and I promise that:
My pet is not aggressive and is well socialized with other animals and with other people.
My pet's vaccinations are up-to-date and current.
My pet is free of ticks and fleas.
My pet will be with me under my care at all times. I understand and agree that if I leave my pet unattended in the room I will assume financial responsibility for any damage that occurs. I agree to pay a $75 fee for all instances of complaints of unattended animals causing a disturbance to other guests.
My pet will be on a leash or in a carrier and under my control when outside.
I will clean up after my pet and dispose of any waste in the dumpster located in the rear of the property.
I will notify the management of any pet "accidents" immediately and request special cleaning efforts.
I will keep my pet off of all furniture including the bed, chairs or couches. I agree to pay an extra $100 cleaning penalty if, in the sole judgment of Cottages management, my rooms require excessive cleaning due to soiled bedspreads, furniture or carpeting.
I will clean off my pet if he/she is wet or dirty using the towels and/or pet shower provided before letting them in the room.
I will assume financial responsibility for any damage caused by my pet during my stay.
In addition to the 2+ acres of our grounds, there are great beaches for dogs within walking distance of the Cottages at Little River Cove, and many miles of walking trails in the areas. We look forward to meeting your furry friends and making them feel welcome!

"The Perfect Spot For A Family Reunion"
My family decided to visit just after the 4th of July weekend and we chose the Cottages as the spot to stage our reunion. We were happy we did... Each of the three cottages we rented had excellent ocean views, beautiful kitchenettes and comfy cozy beds. One even had a hot tub on the back deck! We spent the evening BBQing on the patio overlooking the ocean and visiting with other guests. We then had dinner in one of the cottages, combing tables from two of the rooms to form a large table that sat 9 of us. There was plenty of room. The inn keepers were gracious and helpful throughout the stay. I will recommend the Cottages at Little River Cove to each and every person who visits us in the future. |
