The North Star lodge is the newest addition to Haymoon Resort. Built by the Amish, who built our gorgeous log cabins a few years ago, the Log home was received very well by our summer guests. This beautiful log home has over twenty five hundred square feet with sleeping up to eighteen in five bedrooms and 3.5 baths, one with jacuzzi. Look at the pictures to see the log beauty of this lodging.
The home is decorated in upscale rustic lodge-style decor including original art, log furniture and special touches. The beuatiful landscaping creates a gorgeous, serene evironment to enjoy your Big Sky vacation. Cable TV/DVD, two log fireplaces, washer/dryer, covered porch with propane grill barbecue and outdoor furniture are just a few of the amenities we provide. The North Star has it's own Hot Tub, Horse Shoe Pit & Croquet Set. Sauna/Steamer, Exercise Room and Rec Room with ping pong & board games are all nearby on site.
Haymoon Resort is a unique summer vacation lodging on 22 serene acres, yet still just five minutes from the heart of Whitefish and 25 minute pleasant drive to Glacier National Park or Big Mountain Ski Resort. We are a non-commercialized estate type setting with beautiful perennial gardens, acres of lush lawns, pine woods and water features.
Our one acre Haymoon "Lake" is great for using the canoe, rowboat or paddleboat. Campfire/Bonfire Pit, and acres to run...the kids will enjoy having lots of outdoor space and so will you! The North Star is the perfect spot to spend your Big Sky vacation in between exploring all our area activities.
Whitefish has over 25 restaurants from Wendy's up to many fine dining restaurants and everything in between. Art galleries, live theatre, movies, and lots of shopping are just five minutes away from us. A four season recreational wonderland surrounds us. Hiking, biking, swimming, boating and more in the summer and skiing (downhill & cross country), snow mobiling, ice skating are just a few of the winter activities.
The entire ranch can be rented for family events, retreats, corporate or business seminars, and weddings and sleeps up to 65.

The lodge is a over 2600 square feet with five regular bedrooms and an open sleeping loft, sleeping up to eighteen. There are three and a half full bathrooms, two kitchens with complete tableware, serving & cooking dishes, full size stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, dishwasher on main level, washer/dryer, and two living areas. The main level has a cathedral ceiling in tongue & groove pine. There are log beds throughout and pine custom made furniture. The decor is upscale and non-commercial, with local art and many lodge touches throughout
The lower level sleeps up to eight, with two bedrooms, one with two queens & one with a queen. There is a full futon in the living area. Complete kitchen, one bath, living area with tv/dvd and all the expected comforts of home round out the amenities of the North Star Lower Level. The North star lower level is a completely self contained lodging with its own entrance.
The main level and the loft area have three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. One bath has a Jacuzzi tub. The bedroom on the main level is a queen bed. One bedroom upstairs has a queen bed & the other bedroom has two queens. There is also a sleeping loft with a double bed. There is also room for two sleeping mats for children, if needed, and all sleeping linens provided. Washer/dryer, tv/dvd, gas log fireplace & beautiful kitchen round out the amenities in the North Star main level. The main level and upper floor of the North Star is a completely self contained lodging with it's own entrance and parking.
