Located just one block from the beach, this house is at once exotic and comfortable. The colorful interior walls with French doors and windows throughout the house become picture frames anchoring the lush tropical garden that surrounds the property.
Authentic tropical style is what this corner lot property offers. A variety of lush foliage peaks over the high lattice topped fence. Bright red blooming bougainvillea vines drape the trellis entrance and then a bricked pathway inside the gate winds its way through the garden and leads to the front door. A variety of mature palm trees provide a rich calm feeling it feels like a private tropical paradise.
The lay out of this property is designed for a diversity of use. The main house is comprised of a 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom main house with small attached sleeping room off the pool cabana with 1 small bathroom. This can sleep 6 to 7 people. This part of the property is available year round. During the late Spring, Fall, and early Winter months, the property also offers a studio apartment to create a private next door 4th full bedroom, kitchenette, and 1 bathroom.
Inside the main 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom house, the spacious open living room/kitchen floor plan is made to feel even larger with expansive octagonal ceilings and brightly colored walls. An extensive renovation of this ranch style house was completed in the 1970's to create the beautiful pool, cabana, lush garden, and spacious open living room kitchen floor plan. Now considered "vintage modern" the authentic 70's design is complete with a white painted brick fire place and Baby Grand piano. French doors open to the focal point of this unique home that is most definitely the large swimming pool, cabana room and extensive garden. Beautiful landscape lighting creates an enchanted feeling at night.
Main House with Cabana Room - Available Year Around
The three main bedrooms and bathrooms for the main house are down the hall that connects to the living room. The main house will sleep up to six people. A bricked courtyard with a Zen-like pond outside the key-lime green master bedroom offers an ensuite private bath, king size bed, and private garden space for reading and relaxation.
Large luscious travelers palm trees stand stately outside the second bedroom windows to create a tropical forest feeling. This bedroom also offers a king size bed and has the added feature of an adjoining office in case you need to work remotely while you are in Key West. It also offers a newly remodeled full bathroom.
The third bedroom, also off the hall, is smaller. Painted a refreshing spring green color it also has a tropical forest view of garden. Bedding is a trundle bed that offers one or two twins that can be pushed together to make a king. A half bath (i.e. sink and commode) are directly across the hall from the third bedroom in the main house.
In case you need extra sleeping space when renting the main house, there is a small rustic cabana sleeping room with a twin bed and bathroom that can sleep one extra person. This room is set off the pool cabana. The main house and extra cabana room are available to rent year around.
Private Studio Apartment - Available May to mid-December
An added feature of this property is a separate studio bedroom. Joined to the main property at the garden with a fence and tall gate, this white washed studio also offers a private kitchenette and a bathroom. Bedding for this room is a double (or full) size bed. This part of the property is only available from May through mid December.

Area: The property is very unique for a Key West weekly rental in that it is located in a quiet residential area away from most vacation rentals that are licensed to rent weekly. This home has many amenities not typically found in a Key West vacation rental home including a large private swimming pool with pool cabana and baby grand player piano in the living room. Situated on corner lot, there are neighbors only on one side. There is plenty of room to lounge at the pool and enjoy the beauty of the large lush garden. This property is made private from the street with fences and lush landscaping.
