"The Stella Del Mare", a spacious three-story contemporary beach mansion, provides its guests commanding views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the 13,000 acre Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The home is located just south of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk in the seaside community of Sandbridge Beach.
This five thousand square foot residence is highlighted by an expansive two-story greatroom, full-service kitchen, an enormous dininghall that boasts a custom-built fifteen foot marble dining table that seats all eighteen guests, eight spacious bedrooms including the Grand Master Suite with its private sundeck and adjoining bath suite with a two-person jacuzzi tub, two gaming areas that provide billiards, ping-pong, foosball, and air hockey, a brand new swimmingpool complex with an adjoining brick Grilling Patio with a wet bar and a bath house, over 2500 square feet of outdoor decking, a fully fenced yard, plus ample off-street parking.
If you wish, in-house catering is available through a noted local restauranteur, or party trays can be delivered to the house...or perhaps you'd like a bushel of steamed crabs delivered...no problem!

As you can see by checking the "Availability Calendar", there are a limited number of weeks available for the 2008 rental season...a testament to the quality and popularity of this exceptionally fine rental home. We suggest that you consider booking a spring or fall week as our weather here in Virginia Beach generally remains mild from April through year's end.
If you're planning to visit Virginia Beach in 2009, we suggest that you reserve your week(s) early to avoid any disappointment. As always, Sandbridge Beach remains a premier vacation destination on the Atlantic coast, as the Hampton Roads area offers the visitors such a wide variety of activities to choose from.

The remaing balance of the rental fee, the damage deposit of $500.00, plus a 13% Virginia Beach City Lodging Tax is due at least sixty days prior to the arrival date. "The Stella Del Mare" is a towering three-story beach mansion offering its guests panoramic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the 13,000 acre Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Located in the popular community of Sandbridge Beach which marks the beginning of the so called Outer Banks...a very quiet and picturesque area that allows families the freedom to relax and enjoy a carefree lifestyle away from the maddening crowd.
One of the larger Sandbridge homes, "The Stella Del Mare" boasts over 5,000 square feet of living space filled with many unique features and amenties found in few other homes. This expansive dwelling was built in 1990 by a local businessman to be his private residence, so spaces are generally much larger than will be found in most other rental homes. Most likely, you won't find yourself "rubbing elbows" with others in your group...everyone will definitely have their own space!
Outside, "The Stella Del Mare" continues to offer guests expansive spaces for rest and relaxation! There's over 2,500 square feet of sundecks, shadedecks, covered porches and covered patios throughout the property. Off the second-level diningroom and game area are both a very large southside sundeck and a nice covered porch overlooking the pool complex. And, unlike most other pools, the elevated jetted fiberglass swimming pool is surrounded by a spacious 50' X 30' composite deck that encloses the pool, making it one of the most secure pools in the community. Adjacent to the pool complex is a large grilling patio with a full bath house that is partially shaded by the covered porch above it. Finally, two of the bedroom suites have fairly large sundecks for private relaxation.
Indeed, with its many unique features and amenities, "The Stella Del Mare" is consistently in high demand year round, so it pays to reserve the home well in advance in insure getting the week you wish.
Great Room
Indeed, the great room is impressively large as it raises up two stories! An expansive oceanside window wall affords great views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as the swimming pool complex. The entire room is ringed by supple overstuffed leather sofas...great for relaxing on as you listen to you favorite tracks on the stereo system or watch a movie on the 52-inch digital cable television or log on to wireless internet to check your emails. It's a great haven for just plain relaxing!
Dining Room
Adjacent to the great room is the very large dining hall. The highlight of the room is its 15-foot custom built marble table that seats eighteen guests...few homes offer the luxury of accommodating such a large group at one single table. This feature makes "The Stella Del Mare" a popular site for corporate meetings. Also, there's a nice wet bar in the room with lots of storage space. And, just step outside to either the covered porch or the southside sundeck.
Second-Level Game Area
This beyond the dining hall is a small game area offering a regualtion deluxe air hockey table. The game table has a scoring tower and has a sound system that creates lifelike game sounds. It's a blast!
Chef's Kitchen
As you leave the game area, you enter the area of the kitchen. First, is the raised bar with very comfortable bar stools...a great place for a quick snack. Then, you enter into the spacious kitchen with its center island. Everything you need is here, and there's no shortage of space! After all, there's never too many cooks in the kitchen!
The Grand Master Bedroom
The entire northside of the third-floor is taken up by The Grand Master Suite and its adjoining master bath suite. Just off the suite is a large private sundeck with spectacular views of the Atlantic. Relax in the very comfortable king bed or the love seat and watch television...you're well away from any other guests in the house.
Or step into the Grand Master Bath and enjoy the jetted jacuzzi-for-two, and there's a panoramic view of Back Bay from the window...the sunsets are magnificent indeed! In addition, there's a separate shower, a large dressing table and dual cultured marble sinks...go ahead and bathe yourself in luxury!
Guest Bedroom Two
One of three first-level guest bedrooms, this suite features custom beach-scene wall art. Comfortably relax in the queen bed, and you're well away from the two other bedrooms on this floor. In the large closet, there is a full-size washer and dryer.
Guest Bedroom Three
This is a first-level bedroom located at the rear of the home on the north side. A very spacious room with a comfortable queen bed and a digital cable television. This bedroom is separated from the other northside bedroom by a full bathroom and a mechanical room, so both bedrooms remain very private.
Guest Bedroom Four
In 2007, this bedroom was converted to "A Kidz Space". There's a traditional bunkbed with two twins, then, on the other side of the room is a twin bed with a pull-out twin beneath it (a trundle bed). There's lots of space for the kids to chill out and play!
Guest Bedroom Five
Guest Bedroom Five is a second-level suite on the front bayside of the home. From this vantage point, guest can enjoy panoramic views of the Back Back National Wildlife Refuge...and the sunsets are breathtaking! In 2007, we added a nice king bed to this suite which is separated from the other northside bedroom by both a full bathroom and a linen closet, which affords both bedrooms a good deal of privacy.
Guest Bedroom Six
Guest Bedroom Six is located on the rear oceanside of the second-level. The room is very private, well separated from the other second-level bedroom. Here, guests can enjoy a private sundeck with great views of the ocean as well as the pool complex. Enjoy watching television from the very comfortable queen bed, and sleep in late if you wish.
Guest Bedroom Seven
Here on the third-level of the home, Guest Bedroom Seven is on the front southside and offers spectacular views of beautiful Back Bay...you can see for miles! Agian, like most other suites, this one is very private as it's separated from the neighboring suite by a full bath and a storage closet. Relax in the comfortable queen bed and enjoy watching television as late as you wish.
Guest Bedroom Eight
Guest Bedroom Eight offers incredible panoramic views of the Atlantic! Again, like all other suites, it's well separated and offers guests wonderful seclusion! Here we have a very comfy queen bed for a great night's sleep!
Outdoor Living Areas
"The Stella Del Mare" boasts over 2,500 square feet of sundecks, pool decks, covered porches and grilling patio space!
The southside second-level sundeck is quite large, 16' X 50' ...from one end in the morning watch a spectacular sunrise, in the evening, watch an awesome sunset from the other end. From here are two stairways leading to ground level, one to the pool complex, the other to the public access walkway to the beach.
Adjoining the southside sundeck is the covered porch that overlooks the pool complex and offers great ocean views as well.
Just below the covered porch is the spacious grilling patio ( 16' X 30') done in red masonry. During much of the day this area is shaded by the covered porch above...here also is a full bath house with shower, toilet and pedestal sink...also, there's a large wetbar...a great place for mixing up some cool refreshments.
There's no shortage of outdoor space for guests to kick back and enjoy the good life!
The Swimming Pool Complex
"The Stella Del Mare" boasts one of the safest and secure pools in the area. Unlike most Sandbridge pools which are installed at ground-level, we've raised the custom, one-piece jetted fiberglass pool (13' X 30') slightly above the ground, and it sits atop a 30' X 50' composite deck. The composite deck provides a very spacious area for guests to relax and enjoy either sun or shade, and splinters, no problem! And just steps away is the fantastic grilling patio with its full bath house and large wetbar!
The Grilling Patio
One of the most popular spots to hang out is The Grilling Patio! This very spacious masonry patio connects the Gameroom to the swimming pool and sits beneath the second-level covered porch. As you exit the Gameroom, there's a full bath house with shower, toilet and pedestal sink...also there's a large wet bar with bar stools where you can enjoy your favorite drink. And, of course, there's ample seating with comfortable chairs and tables for everyone!
The First-Level Gameroom
The very large finished garage has been converted into a fun gameroom! Here, guests can enjoy billiards, foosball and ping-pong to their heart's content! The room is ringed with comfortable overstuffed chairs for serious chilling out! And, just inside the door leading to the Grilling Patio and a full size refrigerator/freezer to store all the "goodies".
Parking at "The Stella Del Mare"
The city of Virginia Beach forbids offstreet parking in the area of the home. However, this doesn't present a problem as our parking pad just in front of the home will accommodate up to ten vehicles. We request that guests do not park motor homes in the driveway as there are areas nearby to accommodate such vehicles.

Our beautiful oceanside community of Sandbridge Beach is within a twenty minute drive of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk Resort.
Just a mile south of "The Stella Del Mare" is the Little Island Park which is built on the site of an old Coast Guard Station. The park provides a lifeguard-protected beach, a snack bar, lighted tennis and basketball courts, covered picnic pavillions, a fishing pier and two new bath houses with showers. Here, you can also board (at a cost of $6.00 per person) an electric tram which will transport you on an excursion into the massive Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
Just across the street is the popular "Baja Seafood Restaurant" and also nearby is the local's favorite, "Margie and Ray's Seafood Restaurant and Crabhouse" which boasts the best she-crab soup in the area.
Then, within two miles, is the challenging Hell's Point Golf Course that skirts around the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge...and within a twenty minute drive are two other fine golf courses, Heron's Ridge and the Virginia Beach TPC, a PGA course.
Within an hour's drive is historic Williamsburg and Jamestown (2007 marks the 400th Anniversary of the founding of Jamestown and many activities are planned throuhout the year) as well as Busch Gardens and the famous Kingsmill Resort Spa and Golf Club.
And, of course, just beyond Sandbridge Beach, there are many fine restaurants, shopping areas, water parks, museums, marinas...and the list goes on. The choices of activities are endless... there's something for everyone in the family!
