We loved the house. Reaching the realtors for service during our stay was difficult. We were provided only one set of towels for each master bedroom and it took two full days and multiple phone calls to get that corrected. Also, they insist on text messaging as the basic form of communication and our attempts at texting with them about any issues were frustrating.

We loved this house so much we booked it again for next year. Very clean, attractively furnished, good supply of amenities (boogie boards, etc.), beautiful view of the ocean from the main floor. Close to grocery store and restaurants. (We did seafood take-out from Uncle Ike's and the Sunfish Grill, and ordered pizza from Lucky's - all excellent.)We wished Beach Realty responded more quickly to emails; in all other ways we were happy with them.

We had a wonderful stay! The house clean, comfortable and inviting. Not direct access to beach but close enough that it wasn’t an issue at all. Even our grandmother did fine and she has some health issues. I agree with other families that the wicker furniture is a tad bit uncomfortable. It is such a beautiful space and some soft furniture would have made it perfect for lounging. The beds were hard but decent. We had some spotty internet but it wasn’t bad. Kids loved the hot tub! Just be careful when you’re are out at the hot tub because the deck railing on the driveway side is loose. Otherwise, we had a fantastic time and made lots of memories!!! Thank you Sandscape!

This house was perfect for our family...Very well stocked kitchen....Location was great! Having the pool table was a big plus and used every evening....however, we did not realize how difficult it was to get to the beach for elderly family members..close beach access to house but too many steps ...we were aware there was no direct beach access from the house but not aware of the 34 stairs that were required to access the beach....loved the close proximity to dining, grocery shopping , mini golf etc.

This home provided the perfect place for our siblings/spouses retreat. Each couple could have their own en-suite, so no flipping a coin for the master suite. It had all the amenities we wanted and the views from the upper deck are outstanding. The proximity to restaurants and shopping made it easy for us to choose to do things together or split up for more options. This home had very easy access to the beach. The indoor entertainment amenities were great as well as the hot tub. The only downside was the quality and quantity of towels provided by the linen service. We had rooms that were not being used so we used the towels allotted to those rooms to meet the needs. We would definitely book this property again.

Obviously a very good location as oceanfront, but disappointing that there was no direct beach access. We knew there wasn't a pool but were surprised and disappointed that the community pool was closed. Others in the area were open, and we got no explanation.

Unfortunately the community pool in Crown Point is closed due to the current global pandemic and will not re-open until North Carolina Governor Cooper transitions the state into Phase 3.

We loved the location of Sandscape. The morning sunrises were to die for. No place better to have your morning coffee than on the back deck watching and listening to the ocean waves, just stunning! Also close to shopping and food store which was very convenient. Overall we were very happy with the home.

This vacation home was everything I hoped for. It was immaculate, easy reach of the beach and walk to two shopping centers, lots of room for parking. The views from the main living area (top floor) were fantastic and provided a bright atmosphere. The open concept floor plan allowed different groups to do different activities without being completely separate. Location of most of the bedrooms on the second floor is a great design, allowing those who wish to retire early to do so, and offering those early risers the ability to use the kitchen and take advantage of the great views. There was a nice selection of games and puzzles, and the dining table accommodated our crowd of 12 easily. Lots of bedding and hangers provided. KittyHawk Rentals was very responsive to any requests/inquiries we made. A big thank you to the owners for accommodating our group. It was truly a dream come true!

The view was amazing and the main living space was very comfortable. It was nice to have such a large dining room table even though there was only 5 of us. It gave a plenty of surfaces to do puzzles, eat dinner and other activities without being in the way of anyone. The only complaint I have is that the home needs to update its furnishings. The beds were VERY uncomfortable. Also, there was wicker furniture in the sun room area that was so uncomfortable we were stacking cushions in order to sit on anything. What a waste of a beautiful room. If the beds and wicker were replaced with more comfortable furnishings, we would never consider anyplace else for our stay

Good overall experience. Bed quality was good. Needed a couple more good chairs in living room. Excellent pots, pans and dishes in kitchen. Charcoal grill was poor and insufficient. Should have had a gas grill. House was clean and furniture in good shape. Excellent response from Beach Realty when AC did not work. Pleasant experience working with Beach Realty. Clean beach and good acess. Too far north from some main OBX activities.

Sandscape was a truly wonderful experience. We stayed during the last week of August, 2018 with 8 adults and 5 young children. The accommodations were great for our extended family. For the most part, everything was in working order (except one coffee pot and a seal on the dishwasher that caused a problem once), the dishware and utensils were fully stocked, and the place was clean. The views are spectacular from the third floor and crow's nest with more than 180 degrees of visibility. In the back of the car port, there is a shaded sandy area where the kids played for hours and the beach was only a couple hundred feet walk from the house.

The only thing that was a little drawback is one of the adult couples had to sleep in a bunk room.

Overall the house was very nice. Updated and well stocked kitchen, good layout, TONS of deck space, and overall the house had a lot to offer.

Biggest issue was indirect beach access. Kinda defeats the purpose of being on the beach. This was counteracted by the top deck view.

The bathroom mats were nasty and obviously hadn't been cleaned. When we went to clean them, there was a thick layer of sand that hadn't been cleaned. Also the listing indicates that there is a grill and ice maker on site. The grill is pretty much useless and nasty. We had to rent a grill for our needs. Also the "ice maker" is just a normal fridge ice maker. So not enough to fill up a cooler.

The location is solid. Lots available in the area and the local food lion is actually pretty darn good. Being able to walk up the beach to the grocery store for a last minute item was very nice.

The first floor game room was extremely nice. We used it more for storage but it was nice not to have to lug heavy coolers up and down the stairs.

The hot tub was most excellent.

We cooked a lot and the kitchen is well stocked with dishware as well as cookware, a rarity for rentals. Also they have large platters and pots to accommodate a crowd. The dish washer is extremely small, so expect to wash dishes, pretty much after every major meal. We only ate out once during our entire week, so we ran the kitchen pretty hard so having a good kitchen was a huge benefit.

Overall a good house. We are looking at reserving it again for next year.

We stayed at Sandscape from 8/21 - 8/28/16. We had 5 adults (age 75, 36, 35, 32, 30) and 9 children (ages 17, 17, 11, 8, 6, 4, 4, 2, 1). This is our third time staying at Sandscape over the past 5 years. We had an AMAZING WEEK! The beach is beautiful and the house is always so warm and inviting. It truly feels like our home away from home. We love the beautiful views from the 3rd level with the wrap around windows. The beds are all very comfortable. No problems with bugs or critters. Outside showers are great for washing off when you get back from the beach. The owners have recently done some updates to the kitchen and flooring which were very nice. The only thing I would say can stand to be updated is the family room couch. While it's fairly comfortable, it has been there a while (all 3 times we have stayed), and the cushions have definitely seen better days. Kids and adults had fun playing pool on the ground level. GO STAY at Sandscape, you will love it!!!

The home was plenty large for 6 adults and 8 kids 7yrs and under.
The home could use a deep clean, but it was 'clean enough' for a beach house.
There are a few items that need attention (top beach side deck boards cause splinters, railing will be a danger if not shored-up in the next 12 months, etc.); but all-in-all the house was mechanically sound. The owner called during our stay and asked if there were any issues (which was nice); I told him about these issues and he said he would address them (and I believe him). This spring he has all the wood floors refinished and all new kitchen (granite) counters installed.
The location of this home is ideal; it is two driveways away from the beach access boardwalk, and just outside the entrance road are all the stores (Food Lion) and restaurants/bars we required.

Experience was great. There were a few issues with the house/ property but we were able to work around them. The toilet in the downstairs bathroom leaks a small amount (clean water) when it is flushed.

The deck at the community pool is rough and splintered with nail heads above grade. We had two splinters and a cut toe in two afternoons of swimming.

The house is big and well equipped, with a wonderful view of the ocean from the main top level and the crow's nest. (From the 2nd floor bedroom level you can only see the dune - as in most houses along this section.) It is 200 feet from the access path and 160 stairs up and down to the beach, so getting to the beach can be a bit of a hike, especially for less mobile folks -- but still a lot closer than other homes in the subdivision. Kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well equipped. The community pool was a 5 minute walk and very nice, but we were a bit jealous of the neighbors' pools, especially for little kids. We never used the hot tub. WiFi service was excellent with the password posted prominently. Good TV in the main living room with a nice stereo with an audio plug for our audio devices.

It is located conveniently to a Food Lion and several excellent restaurants. Also close are some minigolf venues, the Corolla lighthouse and the wild horse tours. Go the other way a bit further, and there is a Harris Teeter and the ABC store. It is a long drive to Kitty Hawk or Cape Hatteras, so plan ahead (or for rain) if you are doing sightseeing. We just stayed put.

The house was in excellent condition, but we had some issues with squeaky doors, a broken cabinet hinge and broken chaises in the crow's nest, and the management company quickly and courteously came out and fixed them. I would definitely use Beach Realty again - they have resources a small operator might not have.
