Beautiful condo on a Phenomenal beach! 2022-03-28

My husband and I spent a week here re-connecting and enjoying the comfortable, clean accommodations with the fabulous view of the Okaloosa Island beach. Check in/check out could not have been easier. Furniture was comfy, there were enough basics in the kitchen, towels were fluffy, the TV provided multiple viewing options - but THAT VIEW! That's why we came! There is even beach service for two each day of the stay and the 'beach boy' was SO nice and helpful. The sauna was so relaxing and we were close to several amenities and dining experiences. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The condo was very clean , great view of the ocean . The only problem was we lost the internet half way through our stay and every time we wanted to sit out on the balcony we could smell someone smoking so we couldn’t stay out very long ,it was pretty strong ! As far as the condo we were very pleased !!

This is a very clean place with updated furnishings . Grounds were kept up very well. Loved the free umbrella and chairs . View from the balcony is awesome . Rental with Brooks and Shorey went off without any problems. Will definitely book with them again ... and this condo again .

We decided to go to the beach for our 25th wedding anniversary. Stayed with Brooks and Shorey for a week and had a great time! We took advantage of several of the free offers that they had and all of them were wonderful. We did not expect all of the freebies that came with the condo. We had a great time and will be booking with you again on our next trip to the beach!

Pelican Isle 2020-10-02

I rented this property the day of my first stay as my planned rental was damaged by the hurricane and the other property manager didn't notify me of that until arrival. Since I decided to not stay in the first property I had to be out by 10 AM and check in was not until 4PM. I called Brooks and Shorey to explain my situation and ask for an early check in, thinking that perhaps the property manager would ask the cleaning staff to prioritize my room. That absolutely did not happen. I actually had to call back @ 4PM because I never received the email I was told I would with the room code. I would not recommend Brooks & Shorey as this was poor customer service. I would not recommend Fort Walton Beach or Destin as it is much too crowded and busy.

I loved our vacation rental experience. The view was perfect.The main bedroom bed slept wonderful. We enjoyed great food from The Shack, Bubba Gumps, Rockin' Tacos and the Gulf Coast Burger Company. All were wonderful. We took advantage of the dolphin cruise amenity, which was beyond awesome. I would recommend Brooks and Shorey for your next rental. I have been booking with them for several years with never an issue. The onlt thing with the condo was the balcony door was very hard to open and close but it was a minor distraction.

Condo was very nice. The Venus condos that sits in front of Pelican Isle had a band playing outside by the pool until well past 10:00PM. If we had known this we would have chosen a different condo on the island for our vacation.

The condo was very clean. Loved the view from the room. The ocean was great! Got to see lots of marine life. The bed is soft and plush--not for someone with a bad back or needing a firmer mattress. We truly enjoyed our stay here.

There was food on a couple dishes and black marks on the wall that could've been cleaned I'm sure. The sliding was very, very hard to open and close but everyone's door was like that. But overall we had a wonderful time with a beautiful view! I would definitely recommend this condo!

Yes, these balcony sliding doors are hard to keep up, being directly on the Gulf of Mexico affords lots of salty air wind and rain making rust inevitable and these balcony doors needing new parts more often than normal condos. We'll get some new wheels on this door if needed!! This is a lovely one bedroom condo and Pelican Isle is truly a wonderful property with great amenities. A pool, hot tub, gym and direct access to the Gulf, there's not much to be longed for in a vacation destination! Long weekend in Ft. Walton 2017-07-28

Overall good. The coffee maker did not work and the "ledge" on the sliding glass door is dangerous. Tripped over it every time we walked out on the patio and the door needs some attention as it is very hard to open. Also,usually the beach is "gratded" in the mornings but it was not cleaned the whole time we were there...not sure why they stopped doing this.

We really wish you'd have let us know about the coffee maker while you were here so we could have had housekeeping bring you a new one immediately. Balcony entrances are protected by the balcony sliding door track and unfortunately there's no way to adjust this but we'll look into the slider wheels and the tracks as well and make sure it's functioning correctly. Okaloosa Island does have public beaches that are upkept by the city, unfortunately we don't have their schedule but they do clean the beaches pretty often. They come at night or super early in the morning though when noone would be on the beaches. We hope you were able to enjoy your vacation regardless of this and this didn't put too much of a damper on your fun in the sun!!
