Beautiful condo on a Phenomenal beach! 2022-03-28
By: Gina M. Trip Date: 2022-03-19
My husband and I spent a week here re-connecting and enjoying the comfortable, clean accommodations with the fabulous view of the Okaloosa Island beach. Check in/check out could not have been easier. Furniture was comfy, there were enough basics in the kitchen, towels were fluffy, the TV provided multiple viewing options - but THAT VIEW! That's why we came! There is even beach service for two each day of the stay and the 'beach boy' was SO nice and helpful. The sauna was so relaxing and we were close to several amenities and dining experiences. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
Thank you for the review. We are so glad you enjoyed your condo and stay & look forward to future reservations in which you can take advantage of the return customer discount.

Clean vacation condi 2021-05-25
By: Debbie R. Trip Date: 2021-05-17
The condo was very clean , great view of the ocean . The only problem was we lost the internet half way through our stay and every time we wanted to sit out on the balcony we could smell someone smoking so we couldn’t stay out very long ,it was pretty strong ! As far as the condo we were very pleased !!
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
Thank you for your nice comments. We wish that the all visitors do refrain from smoking on the balconies, but there is no restriction on that. Smoking inside the units is not allowed.

Wedding Anniversary 2020-10-02
By: Scott S. Trip Date: 2020-08-02
We decided to go to the beach for our 25th wedding anniversary. Stayed with Brooks and Shorey for a week and had a great time! We took advantage of several of the free offers that they had and all of them were wonderful. We did not expect all of the freebies that came with the condo. We had a great time and will be booking with you again on our next trip to the beach!
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
What a perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion! Thank you for choosing us, we hope for your continued business

Pelican Isle 2020-10-02
By: Opal R. Trip Date: 2020-09-25
I rented this property the day of my first stay as my planned rental was damaged by the hurricane and the other property manager didn't notify me of that until arrival. Since I decided to not stay in the first property I had to be out by 10 AM and check in was not until 4PM. I called Brooks and Shorey to explain my situation and ask for an early check in, thinking that perhaps the property manager would ask the cleaning staff to prioritize my room. That absolutely did not happen. I actually had to call back @ 4PM because I never received the email I was told I would with the room code. I would not recommend Brooks & Shorey as this was poor customer service. I would not recommend Fort Walton Beach or Destin as it is much too crowded and busy.
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback, We are sorry to hear that Fort Walton/ Destin Area was not what you expected. Although, we would wish to allow all of our guests to check in early sometimes it is impossible as we need to get the condos clean and in shape for arrivals, this can make check in sometimes occur anywhere between 4-6 PM . We hope maybe you will give this area another chance; If not we understand.

Awesome view 2020-06-02
By: Katrina S. Trip Date: 2020-05-23
I loved our vacation rental experience. The view was perfect. The main bedroom bed slept wonderful. We enjoyed great food from The Shack, Bubba Gumps, Rockin' Tacos and the Gulf Coast Burger Company. All were wonderful. We took advantage of the dolphin cruise amenity, which was beyond awesome. I would recommend Brooks and Shorey for your next rental. I have been booking with them for several years with never an issue. The onlt thing with the condo was the balcony door was very hard to open and close but it was a minor distraction.
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
Thank your for your review and glad to hear you enjoyed the extra amenities!! Please keep in mind we are always here to hope to see you again!

Very nice! 2019-06-16

Nice condo- too noisy 2019-05-19
By: Lisa L. Trip Date: 2019-05-04
Condo was very nice. The Venus condos that sits in front of Pelican Isle had a band playing outside by the pool until well past 10:00PM. If we had known this we would have chosen a different condo on the island for our vacation.
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
We appreciate your generous comment on the unit you rented 412 at the Pelican are so glad this condo suited you for your vacation. We do apologize for the noise interruptions you experienced from the property next door. We do hope this doesn't deter you from coming back to our beautiful Okaloosa Island in the near future.

Beach Front Condo 2017-09-19
By: Sandra R. Trip Date: 2017-09-12
The condo was very clean. Loved the view from the room. The ocean was great! Got to see lots of marine life. The bed is soft and plush--not for someone with a bad back or needing a firmer mattress. We truly enjoyed our stay here.
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
Thank you kindly for staying with Brooks and Shorey Resorts at the beautiful Pelican Isle Condos on Okaloosa Island! This Gulf front property is high class and with its one building, you're bound to have more peace and quiet here than larger more populated properties. Unit 412 is a great one bedroom condo for a couples getaway or a family vacay even. We're so glad you enjoyed the views of the Gulf of Mexico as well as all the fun creatures it holds. We appreciate your comment on the mattress, as you hinted in your feedback mattress comfort is a huge personal preference and it's difficult for one mattress to hit the bullseye on comfort zone to every guests, so we appreciate your understanding!! Thank you for booking through us and we hope to have you back for another joyful vacation on the beautiful Emerald Coast.

Excellent view! Great location! Cleanliness was good! 2017-09-10
By: Tammy M. Trip Date: 2017-08-12
There was food on a couple dishes and black marks on the wall that could've been cleaned I'm sure. The sliding was very, very hard to open and close but everyone's door was like that. But overall we had a wonderful time with a beautiful view! I would definitely recommend this condo!
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
We've made notes on all your comments, thank you for relaying your feedback so we can tend to the items listed. Yes, these balcony sliding doors are hard to keep up, being directly on the Gulf of Mexico affords lots of salty air wind and rain making rust inevitable and these balcony doors needing new parts more often than normal condos. We'll get some new wheels on this door if needed!! This is a lovely one bedroom condo and Pelican Isle is truly a wonderful property with great amenities. A pool, hot tub, gym and direct access to the Gulf, there's not much to be longed for in a vacation destination! We appreciate your business with Brooks and Shorey Resorts, and we look forward to having you back to beautiful Fort Walton Beach Florida soon as your schedule allows!

Long weekend in Ft. Walton 2017-07-28
By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2017-07-21
Overall good. The coffee maker did not work and the "ledge" on the sliding glass door is dangerous. Tripped over it every time we walked out on the patio and the door needs some attention as it is very hard to open. Also, usually the beach is "gratded" in the mornings but it was not cleaned the whole time we were there...not sure why they stopped doing this.
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
We really wish you'd have let us know about the coffee maker while you were here so we could have had housekeeping bring you a new one immediately. Balcony entrances are protected by the balcony sliding door track and unfortunately there's no way to adjust this but we'll look into the slider wheels and the tracks as well and make sure it's functioning correctly. Okaloosa Island does have public beaches that are upkept by the city, unfortunately we don't have their schedule but they do clean the beaches pretty often. They come at night or super early in the morning though when noone would be on the beaches. We hope you were able to enjoy your vacation regardless of this and this didn't put too much of a damper on your fun in the sun!!

Nice stay 2017-07-19
By: Anonymous Trip Date: 2017-07-12
Room was very clean bed slept good. Staff was friendly. One of the elevators were down. Other than that it was nice.
Response from Brooks and Shorey Resorts, Inc.:
Thank you for your review! We are elated to hear that your stay with us at Pelican Isle was enjoyable despite the elevator issue. We understand how frustrating it might get to only have one elevator working during peak season unfortunately there is never a good time for issues to occur and would like to inform you that the issue is being addressed this week.. We do hope you will visit us again!
