Welcome to Far Away Cove!

Located in Yonahlossee, a premier gated community, Far Away Cove is centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock. Downtown Blowing Rock is about five miles away and boasts local shopping, dining, and a large public park. The park has multiple playgrounds and public tennis and basketball courts. Boone is a fifteen minute drive and offers access to local shopping, dining, and breweries in addition to conveniences like gas stations and grocery stores. The High Country features many festivals and events year-round. Winter adventure can be found at Appalachian Ski Mountain or Sugar Mountain Resort, both less than thirty minutes away. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, about ten minutes from the home, and enjoy a picnic at an overlook while marveling at the breathtaking mountain views. Hikers of all skill levels will find a new favorite trail to explore.

Far Away Cove is a three level mountain home with custom finishes throughout. The main level features an open floor plan with clear sight lines from the kitchen and dining room to the living room. Hardwood floors and vaulted tongue and groove ceilings bring warmth to the family room where the comfortable furniture is situated around the stacked rock gas fireplace and smart TV. Guests can watch their favorite show while curled up on the sofa and relax after a day of hiking. The adjacent sunroom will become a favorite place to read a good book and take in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Step into the gourmet kitchen and whip up a wonderful meal on the gas range or gather around the large quartz island to share stories from the day’s adventures. The accompanying dining table can seat eight guests while the large island has three additional barstools. The large deck has ample seating for guests to enjoy their morning coffee while taking in the mountain views. The gas grill is the perfect place to grill fresh vegetables from the farmer's market. The den on the lower level offers space for guests to spread out and watch TV or play a game. Play a friendly game of ping pong in the garage. 

This five bedroom home can comfortably sleep up to ten guests. The main level master bedroom has a king bed, TV, and access to a sitting area on the deck. The private spacious ensuite has double vanities, jac auzzi tub, and a large step-in shower with a rain shower head. A second bedroom on the main level can sleep two guests in two twin beds. The attached bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Upstairs, two bedrooms with full size beds and TVs share the hallway bathroom. The fifth bedroom located off the lower level den has a queen bed and electric wall mounted fireplace. A fourth bathroom on the lower level has a step-in shower and a laundry area.

Additional amenities include WiFi, live cable TV, and central heating and air conditioning. The lower level den and bedroom have mini-splits for added comfort. There is a powder room on the main level. Pets are not allowed at Far Away Cove. The paved driveway has parking for three vehicles. Please note there are exterior security cameras capturing the entry steps, parking area, and mountain view. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund.  If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date.  Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund.  If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
