This is our 4th stay at the Bite II villa. The new owners have made some subtle, but very nice additions and upgrades to the unit. As the locals will attest, French Leave is simply the best beach on the island. Both villas, Bite II and Dogtrot, are stunningly beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Our children joined us this year and stayed in Dogtrot. This is the perfect vacation spot on Eleuthera.

This villa was exactly as described. It sits on one of the most pristine and deserted beaches in Governor's Harbor on the Atlantic side. This villa was clean, updated with Bosch appliances, huge living space with two en suite bedrooms each with a king bed and double sink bathrooms. Ceiling fans and central air in all rooms. The view from the living area and one bedroom was incredible. Plantation shutters on all windows for privacy. Location to Governor's Harbor was ideal. Close to Buccanear Club and groceries, gas, liquor store, dive shop and bank. Great snorkling right out deont on the almost private beach. We walked that beach every day and saw reef sharks, stingray and crabs. The watwr is clear and clean of any seaweed. Reefs dot the shoreline for great snorkeling and swimming. Great front porch for reading and watching the thurnderstorms pass by over the ocean in the evening. Best accommodations we have stayed in so far. This was our 3rd trip to the ilsand and we will be staying there again! Special thanks to Michele Johnson the property manager for her quick and efficient responses to any of our needs. She went above and beyond for us and we aee so grateful to have met her.

Four of us spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful house; my husband and I, our son and his wife. The property is beautiful! There is a fantastic back porch that looks out onto the beach and we spent many relaxing hours there. The furniture is nice and comfortable. The beds were great, very nice linens and comfortable mattress. Everything was super clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. You can’t beat the sunrises from the back deck. Also having two master suites with separate heat and air units was a real treat. Everyone was comfortable and relaxed.

our stay on french leave beach was good. We stayed a month so the house was a perfect choice. It was very pretty as well, it had an island feel and was very quiet.
More on the positive side, the location was lovely , the appliances top of the line , good linens, towels and bathrobes (which i really like) each room had a separate air conditioning unit and overhead fan.
The unit had a dishwasher, although small, and a washer and dryer( which unfortunately used the water that came through the pipes} which was quite rusty, so if you washed anything light, you could expect it to turn yellow.Occasionally you noticed it in the shower and it was very evident in the toilet.
The furniture was comfortable, a large dining table with enough chairs to seat 6, and a view to the ocean from the living room.
We purchased bottled water to drink, a suggestion:
Go to Eleuthera Beverage in Governors Harbour and purchase a 5 gallon container of water, it is about $7.00 with a deposit that you get back when you return the bottle.
This will save buying plastic 1 gallon containers and having to throw them away.
There is no recycling on Eleuthera and once you take a walk on the beautiful pink sand, crystal clear water beach, the plastic epidemic will hit you fully.
There were ample dishes, glasses and pots and pans, but a lack of other kitchen supplies/utensils which was amplified since we stayed 1 month.

The property manager, Michele , was quite helpful and did fix a few of the obvious issues quickly.
We spent the days walking on the beach, lounging on the deck or comfortably under an umbrella on the sand. There were ample beach towel to use as well.
I would say that the location was perfect, the area is very low key and the only people you see are beach walkers....
The house can easily hold 2 couples as each bedroom has a nice bathroom with 2 sinks..
I would recommend this property mostly for the incredible location and higher end
