Property Description

The home was built in 1950 and has been recently enlarged and updated, including a beautiful new bathroom. Located on the south side of the Island, you have breathtaking views of Lake Huron and Bootjack and Espanore Islands. There is a large sliding door in the family room that leads out onto a spacious deck that overlooks the water, as well as windows lining the kitchen and dining area, so you can enjoy the views from the inside and out!
There is a aluminum fishing boat for you to enjoy the protected bay, and a dock that is suitable for a small boat. *boat does not include motor. This home is also pet friendly, so you can also bring along your fur-family.

Vacation Rental Policies

Check In:

CHECK IN TIME IS 3pm OR LATER: If you arrive earlier than 3 we can not guarantee your home will be ready for you and you may have to wait. We can not give out keys to homes until the office is notified the home is ready for you.

DIRECTIONS TO OFFICE: When you get off the ferry, follow the main road (M-134, also called Channel Rd) 7.6 miles, we are a log building on the left, immediately following Esthers Mexican Restaurant.
YOU MUST CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE FIRST: DO NOT go directly to the home, even if you are a repeat and have been there before. You MUST check in at the office, at which time you will Pay any balance due and get your key and directions to your home. Our directions give you exact instructions on how to get to the home, we DO NOT give out home addresses as GPS units do not work well on the Island and you could get lost.

LATE ARRIVALS, OR IN THE EVENT THE OFFICE IS CLOSED: There is a check in Box located to the left of the front door at the office, and will have a packet with your name and the name of your home on it. Everything you need will be inside the envelope, including directions to your home and a key. Payment is due on arrival, if you have a balance there will be a rent envelope in your packet with instructions. If you know you will be arriving late and you plan to put the balance on a card please call prior and I can take care of that for you!

CONTACT INFO: Your paperwork will have the office number on it, as well as cell numbers in case of an emergency. (I typically forward the office number to my cell so you should always be able to reach me on that.. if I have service! :) If you have any problems or need anything at all once you arrive at your home please call so we can help.
GUESTS: If you have guests that will be staying with you and will be arriving at a later time please make sure they will know how to get to the home, (we are happy to send you directions in advance that can be given to your guests) There is not someone at the office 24 hours a day, and with cell phone coverage being what it is on the Island they may not be able to reach you for help.

Check Out:

Check out is at 9am peak season (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend) & 10am all other times.
There is a $50 fee per hour for any unapproved late departures.  Please note: we can no longer allow late checkouts during the months of June, July & August.  Late check outs are not permitted if there is an arrival on the same day, and can not be determined until the day of your arrival or at some point during your stay.  DO NOT wait until late the night before, or the morning of your check out day to inquire.  Our housekeepers and service crew already have their day scheduled and you will not be approved.

Cancellation Policy

Canceling during Peak Season: Weekly & Daily Rentals: Deposits are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your spot. In the event the home was to re-book for the dates you cancelled you would get your deposit back, minus a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees can range from $50 or $100, depending on the home that you rented, and the length of your stay.

Canceling during Off Peak Season: Weekly & Daily Rentals: Deposits are refundable, minus a cancellation/booking fee. Cancellation fees can range from $50 or $100, depends on the home that you rented, and the length of your stay.

*All cancellations must be made a minimum of 1 month prior to your arrival day to receive a refund. (Peak AND Off-Peak)
(exceptions will be made in the event a home is to re-book)
Guests who do not show up to their rental home, or who cancel within 2 weeks of the arrival day will be responsible for the FULL balance of their stay!

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but while holding the home for you, we have turned others away!


A deposit is a partial payment on a home that we agree to save for you. Deposits go towards the balance due.

Deposits for weekly rentals are $250 or $500, depending on the home. Deposit amounts can be found on the homes page.
Deposits for daily rentals (anything less than a week) are $150 for all homes.

If you pay your deposit online and use a debit card or Echeck, there will be a delay. We do not receive notifications of reservations made online until payments have cleared, which means you may lose out on your home! Please notify us so we can make arrangements to save the dates for you until it clears.
*Using a credit card is recommended!

Other Fees

All homes have a one time cleaning fee, which are posted on our website. *There are no cleaning fees on weekly rentals!
Pets are $25 per pet. *where applicable- all pet friendly homes have a 1-2 pet max.
