Clear Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the State of California and second oldest lake in the world. Clear Lake provides fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, para-sailing, water-skiing, boating, and jet skis. There is a boat launch below one of our clients homes and individuals can rent boats and personal watercraft from many local businesses. Clear Lake is approximately 90 minutes northeast of San Francisco. For 15 consecutive years Lake County has had the cleanest air in all of California. Winters are mild here, generally 40s and 50s and Summer temperatures are usually in the 80s and 90s. The lake itself is truly magnificent. It stretches nearly twenty miles in length and includes over 100 miles of shoreline. Considered a “warm water” lake, the bass fishing is unrivaled as witnessed by the 40+ fishing tournaments held here annually out of Thompson Harbor. The record large mouth bass caught out of this lake weighed a whopping 17.52 pounds! ~ Bill McCulloch
