This annual holiday event was originally called "The Santa Claus Lane Parade." In fact, it inspired singer Gene Autry to write the song "Here Comes Santa Claus" ("right down Santa Claus Lane"). The event has since been renamed "The Hollywood Christmas Parade," and over a million people line up along the curbs each year to watch this dazzling night time procession of stars.
