You’ve dreamed of sunsets on the beach, marshmallows over the campfire, and fish overflowing the bucket. Make that dream a reality at Sunset View Resort Cottages on Big Bay de Noc in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. This collection of adjacent two-bedroom/one-bath cabins provides a comfortable and affordable vacation destination for families or groups. Individual units sleep up to four people, with a larger one sleeping seven. Rented together, the cottages provide accommodations for up to twenty.

Cottages have fully stocked kitchens, comfortable seating in the living room, a television, full-size beds, and a bathroom with a shower. Each cottage has interior tongue-in-groove paneling and exterior log siding. Watch the gorgeous sunset view from your window or the hammock.

Sunset View Resort Cottages overlook the sandy shores of Big Bay de Noc in a peaceful setting yet have easy access to Highway U.S. 2 and M 183 to Fayette and Fairport. The bay is noted for its trophy walleye, salmon, bass, pike and perch. A fish-cleaning house is located on the premises.

In addition to miles of sandy beach, outdoor facilities include a swing set, volleyball net, fire pit, and picnic tables. Dining, golf and casinos are nearby.

$100 due upon reservation to guarantee dates. Balance plus $50 returnable security deposit due thirty days in advance of check-in. Cancellations made more than thirty days in advance will receive a full refund minus a $50 booking fee. Cancellations made less than thirty days in advance, no refunds.

    Big Bay de Noc is world-renowned for its trophy walleye. Ten-pounders are not uncommon. If you’re looking for a wall-hanger, you’ll find salmon, pike, perch or bass to brag about. No fish cleaning in cottage. Please use the fish house on the beach. Ask about fishing charters that leave right in front of the resort.

    Sunset View is close to many major tourist attractions of the central Upper Peninsula. Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Indian Springs, and Fayette State Park are only twenty minutes to one hour away, with Mackinaw Island about two hours away.
