Testimonials
We had a great time at your wonderful getaway. White fish in Grand Marais was just starting and was very slow.
Friday morning, at your lake, I went out by myself in our canoe. I was out in the middle of the lake and a hooked a big brook trout. He jumped out of the water and ran with my fishing line. He pulled me around turning the canoe around the lake. My net was not big enough to get him and the canoe was unstable. He was so big he broke the line. He was the biggest fish I ever caught. I wish I could have brought him home. Maybe next time. It was a great experience.
We would like to rent the cottage next year at the same time if possible. We will keep in touch.
Thank you very much for your hospitality. We had a very enjoyable time!!!

We had a really good time even though the weather was crappy. My buddy who works for Newberry DNR came over for dinner one night. Haven’t seen him in a year, so that was nice. I really appreciate you renting us your cabin. We loved it and think everyone else will to. Will let you know about next year after winter probably.
Keep in touch

Sorry for the delay in contacting you. I arrived home and it has been nonstop since. I need another vacation already.
We loved the cabin. We spent two days at Pictured Rocks and one day at Seney Wildlife Refuge. We hiked about 12 miles over three days, but always got home in time for a campfire, except the one night it rained.
We had a great time there. The colors were peak and spectacular. We got to see a juvenile loon, which made us all very excited. We also some grouse near the cabin along with countless deer.

I enjoyed the solitude and the wildlife at your camp. When we arrived,
there was a doe swimming in the lake off the dock, something I'd never seen
before, and we observed a number of wildlife during our stay. A pair of
cute muskrats seemed to enjoy observing us, having moved in under the dock
the second day and keeping pretty close to us during the week (one even
followed me across the lake during a rowboat excursion). The kids enjoyed
catching innumerable small perch, and I almost caught a brook trout in the
stream in just two casts next to a beaverdam (it snagged itself free in the
dam).
Thanks for sharing your place and best wishes --

We had a great time at your cabin. The weather was good, although a little chilly at night. We didn't see any bears, just a few deer taking a dip in the lake, which was very neat to see. We left a few things in the fridge that we didn't want to waste, so hopefully you can make use of the items. Thanks for allowing us to rent your cabin. I will be sure to let anyone else who is going to the U.P. know that your cabin is available.

We had a very good time at the cabin. The weather was great and it was so good to be in the U.P. again. My grandma was a yooper, so I really enjoy pasties up there (although they are never as good as grandma used to make).
The kids really enjoyed swimming, going out in the boat and going for short hikes. We caught a few trout.
We saw a big black bear on the way out one evening and we are almost positive we saw a wolf as well (it was big and the tail was straight out when running, coyotes run with their tail down).
It was a great time of enjoying good friends in beautiful nature!
Dave
