Come to Ransome's Chesapeake Retreats "RCR", a private, 250-acre, waterfront estate with one mile of shoreline on the magnificent Chesapeake Bay of Eastern Shore, Maryland. "RCR" is the ideal setting for Family Reunions, Corporate Retreats, Club Events, or Weekend Getaways. Looking for a unique and "extra"ordinary vacation location for your family this year? A place to relax in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, yet be "close to it all"?
Our Chesapeake Bay estate is located just outside Cambridge, a quaint maritime town filled with history and tucked away on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Travel through the countryside James Michener wrote about in "Chesapeake." It is the perfect getaway for boating, fishing, golfing, shopping, sightseeing, or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Chesapeake Bay shoreline.
There are miles of walking paths and our boat dock/ramp offers direct access to the bay for water sports. Our facilities offer lots of places to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings - a screened-in porch overlooks both a bass pond and the Chesapeake. Our observation deck has a 360-degree view of the land and water. The master bedroom has it's own private deck.
Our 3 home estate has a Family Room and a Great Room in the main house. There is also a 30' x 30' meeting/rec room in the Fun Center. Find all the amenities you will need to make memories that last a lifetime. We have thought of everything, so you don't have to.
Wildlife abounds; the surroundings are picturesque. You can go boating, crabbing and fishing on-site. The Blackwater Wildlife Refuge is our neighbor and offers more paths (for walking, hiking, and biking) and waterways (for canoe and kayaking).

-- discount for each subsequent week rented.
June thru August - minimum of one week rental, 90 day refundable deposit.
Weekend rates starting at $3,500 during off season - add $700 for add'l house.

Your visit to Eastern Shore Maryland can be anything you want, from total relaxation to a “Let’s see it all” vacation. Cambridge, a short drive from our Chesapeake Bay estate, is rich in maritime history. The Eastern Shore of Maryland allows for everything from quaint historical tours to day trips to St. Michael’s or to the beach in Ocean City. You can also take to the water - fishing or exploring Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries in your own boat. Arrangements can even be made to have a rental boat waiting for you when you arrive!
Charter fishing boats, champagne sunset cruises, light house tours and sail boat charters are available for your enjoyment. Or you can go fishing and crabbing right in RCR's backyard in a well stocked pond or off the dock of the bay.
