Best house we have rented in the OBX. This house was perfect- loved having a bathroom for each bedroom. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. We also loved the location and view of the ocean. We will be renting this house again.

This was a really nice place. Nice views and nicely decorated. Kitchen was fully equipped. Circular stairs not good for kids or small dogs, but great for my legs.

The home was very affordably priced. Because of the open space just to the south, it has the feel of semi-ocean front at ocean side prices.

We have been vacationing at the Cat's Meow for over 15 years and absolutely love the house and the location. It is perfect for the size of our family. Every year when we return, we look forward to some
new additions to the house. The owners take great pride in what they have to offer and it is always an incredible experience. We feel like we are home when we arrive. It really has that quintessential beach house feel that is inviting, comfortable and the perfect place to get away. We found the house that makes us happy and we continue to go each and every year for our two week getaway!

In 25 years of visiting the Outer Banks, we have rarely rented a house more than once. But this year we came back to the Cat’s Meow for a second time and we’re so glad we did! The house has everything we need - super location with views of the dunes and ocean, close to grocery shopping, well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, and nice furnishings. It’s also located in one of the smaller sections of Ocean Sands and the house backs up to a natural area so the beach is less crowded there. We love it and plan to return!

Great experience! First time renting a dog friendly home and was pleasantly surprised by everything The Cat's Meow had to offer. Bedrooms and bathrooms were updated beautifully and we loved how close the home was to the beach! Only feedback is to make sure cleaning company is vacuuming upstairs carpet before new guests. Upon arrival there were lumps of dark dog hair but once they sent a working vacuum, issue was resolved! Already booked for 2018!

Location is everything! We never left the Corolla area. The grocery store is right across the street as well as Duck Donuts. The house has everything you need for a great stay. Plan ahead as when you arrive there won't even be one roll of potty paper. We brought a baby gate which we used on the upper deck to keep the pups contained and they loved laying out there to sun and dry off. The beach access is one house away so you cant get much closer. Loved backing up to the preserve area and saw a fox daily and a few deer. Makes it nice a quiet. We had an issue with the front lock and cable boxes but the rental company was excellent and fixed them quickly. Don't hesitate to call with problems as they are excellent. There are hoses on every deck level and an outdoor shower which was nice having the dogs with us who needed baths after each beach trip. There is some wear in the house but didn't affect our trip. I would suggest paying to check in early which was a nice option. The sheets provided are so snug on the beds that we couldn't even get them on the mattresses totally which was a bothersome.

Overall our vacation experience was very good.
Great weather, un-crowded beaches(unlike the NJ beaches), pleasant house, great location. Don't miss "Wild Horse Adventure Tours" and "Duck Donuts"
When we arrived at house after checking in late Sunday afternoon we did not see any bed linens. A phone call to the RE office told us we would find them in the black box in the service area under the entry. It would have been helpful and saved a little concern if that information had been included in our check in packet.
We were not crazy about the spiral stairs and the 10:00 checkout time was a little hectic.

Historically (over past 20 yrs) we have stayed in South Nags Head. It's difficult to find homes that allow us to bring out pets which are part of our family. This year was that much more difficult due in large part to our kids school schedules. Choosing to stay in Corolla as well as utilizing a new reality company was an initial concern however Beach Realty made the process smooth. We really liked the location, access to the beach along with ability to drive onto the beach and see the horses.

We were very pleased with Cat's had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Due to a nasty storm we had a bit of water leakage from a window and Beach Realty was very prompt in sending someone out. While this is not an oceanfront home, the view to the ocean over the open dune and vegetation filled field is spectacular. We saw deer, red fox,gray fox,many rabbits and a large variety of birds.Plus there is very little neighbor noise, only the ocean loud and clear!

This house couldn't have been better for our family. Very convenient location, exceptional views from the deck and steps from the never crowded beach. Very quiet neighborhood considering it is so close to the grocery store and shopping. Very pleased with the recent improvements to the property. Everything worked perfectly and the house was spotless. Excellent appliances, 2 grills, and the bikes were a huge plus. Everything is new and clean. Very comfortable setup overall. We also took the early check in option which worked out great!

Wow. This house had a lot more to offer than we expected, based off of the pictures from the internet. it seems that the most recent pictures of certain parts of the house have not been posted to the website. For example the two bedrooms with the queen bed's have been completely remodeled and are beautifully well done. All of the bathrooms have been updated and are very modern. The best part was the porch on the top deck and waking up every morning with a cup of coffee and watching the sunrise from the deck. It wouldn't even be worth it to pay for oceanfront views, as you can see the ocean clearly from the top deck of this house. The kitchen was well stocked with more than we thought, as we brought some of our own items from our own kitchen. The hot tub was wonderful especially at night when you could see the beautiful bright moon. Only complaints were one of the bike tires was completely flat, the light in the hot tub was not working which was not a big deal at all, and there was a tear in the screen on the sliding door on the deck upstairs. All minor things that did not interfere with our amazing week. The openness of the upstairs kitchen and living room made each breakfast and dinner so much fun with all of our friends and family. The beach is literally a 30 second walk away. We have already recommended this property to others, including the possibility of renting again in the future. The Cat's Meow is just that!. An excellent place for us to spend our second week in OBX. We love the new renovation and the upgrades that were done in 2016. Great location with a traffic light at OS E entrance at Rte 12 which is a great help. We have been visiting OBX for many years first time in the "Cat" and we will surely come back!

We have been staying in the Outer Banks for over 15 years. I must say that this is the best combination of location decore and cleanliness yet. The Cats Meow is beautifully furnished. We can't say enough about the view off of the back deck! This is one of the only homes that we have stayed in that we would repeat year after year we had a wonderful time and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
